Tyalmath is a boss from Ys II and a minor antagonist in the 1989-1993 anime adapted from it and the first game.
Appearance[]
Tyalmath is a quadruped red and blue demon that walks on four limbs and has a cycloptic appearance.
In the ova, Tyalmath has two eyes in a verticle pattern and a couple ones other parts of its body, sharp teeth, extra limbs, and yellow skin.
Powers and Skills[]
Tyalmath is a demon capable of making high jumps into the air and summons waves of ice whenever it lands.
In the ova, Tyalmath is capable of burrowing under snow and firing an ice breah. In addition, it can attack with tentacles.

After Adol was able to expose an illusion impeding him in the Ice Ridge of Noltia, Tyalmath leaps down from a hole above a closed door and had to fight the creature with fire magic in order to access the Moat of Burnedbless.
Anime[]
When Adol travelled with some men to disprove the demons' lies to them, Tylmath emerges from a pile of snow, unwilling to let them leave its territory alive. Jira tries to pin the endangerment of the world on Adol who was having none of it.
Going along with the falsehood, Tyalmath tells the group to leave him behind so it can silence him. After they obliged, Tyalmath proceeds to wallop Adol in a one-sided fight. As Lillia was taking one of the goddesses' pendants to Adol, she ends up crossing paths with Tyalmath when they launched projectiles aginast eachother.
As Adol is not having luck with damaging Tyalmath, the clouds began to disperse, this leads to the Sada and company returning to Adol's side as he holds back Tyalmath's firepower. Once the clouds disperse leading to the lies about there being no world beyond Ys being exposed, Sada's group fully turn against Tyalmath and aid Adol.
Just as Tyalmath is about to silence all witnesses, Adol manages to overpower the monster and kill it, sending the creature's charred remains plummeting from Ys.
