The First of the Tigers was Shere Khan's ancestor and minor villain from the anime series Jungle Book Shonen Mowgli.
Past[]
The First of the Tigers was Shere Khan's ancestor. He had no stripes and was golden furred. Taa the Elephant, Hathi's ancestor left him in charge of their part of the jungle while she is out for a while. He angrily, but accidentally, murdered to arguing bucks and ran into hiding in fear. The Taa and the other animals saw the scene of the crime and can't tell who done this. Taa ordered the trees and creepers to find and mark the one who murdered the bucks.
Later on, Taa informed the animals about a certain fear, told them to find it and proclaimed a law for everyone to never attack it. The First of the Tigers overhead water buffalos claiming they found the fear as they described it as hairless and nothing like they ever seen before and lives in the foot of the cliffs. The tiger decided to go and conquer it and claims that everyone and Taa will bow to him as Master of the Jungle. So, he set out for the cliffs. To get there he had to go through the forest. Without noticing, the trees and creepers remembered thaws command and obeyed it by marking his body with stripes. As the tiger finally reached the cliffs, a human came out of the cliff and started to insult him with his new stripes, but the tiger, still unaware of his stripes, does not believe what he says but took it as a mockery. It was a short fight, and in a split second it was all over. The Tiger killed the human with one swipe of his paw. However, it was not over. Ass Taa and the animals arrived and saw the scene of the action. Taa angrily berated the tiger for breaking the law and told him that he has not conquered fear cause all he had done was kill one man and the rest of humans will want revenge. Because of him they will all be hunted forever. Taa now confirms that he bought trouble to the jungle, starting with the murdered bucks. The Tiger denies the murder of the bucks, but Taa counters when she revealed how he bought his stripes. When the tiger finally notices them, he tries to wipe it off as the other animals laughed. The First of the tigers claims it is just mud before more angry humans came and attacked. The animals all ran for their lives, but the tiger was struck in the rear with a spear. The Tiger runs wounded. His fate was unknown, but he presumingly pass away then or man got their revenge against him.
Legacy[]
Since then, Shere Khan's ancestor broke the law of the jungle on hunting man, and the animals suffered for his crime. Shere Khan continued breaking the law since and has not learned wisdom, even if he knew how his ancestor broke the law and what the consequences were for all the animals of the jungle. Shere Khan was hinted to have gotten his stripes the same way the First of the Tigers did.
