Taras Yudin is one of the two hidden main antagonists of the Criminal Minds episode "Rock Creek Park". Yudin is a Russian mobster guilty of the abduction-for-ransom of Sophie Troy, ordered by her mother-in-law Dinah.

Biography[]

Yudin's closest associate was Roman Azarof, and he was in love with their housekeeper, Fana Kedike. Azarof beat and raped her, which he threatened her into keeping secret. Dinah disapproved of Sophie and wanted her son Benjamin to have increased approval by his constituents, she she ordered Yudin and Azarof to hold Sophie captive and publicize her kidnapping for a $2 million ransom. As Benjamin had trusts that were worth far more, they demanded $20 million, leading the authorities to Sophie's severed ear as incentive. When Yudin found out about Azarof's brutality against Fana, they had a falling out culminating in Yudin shooting Azarof dead. He made a move to kill Sophie, bu the FBI raided the location where she was held captive. She was rescued, but Yudin fled and became a fugitive. Dinah was later arrested for masterminding everything.
