Maruba Arkay is the owner of Chryse Guard Security and a minor antagonist in Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS.
He is voiced by Katsuhisa Houki in the Japanese version and by Dave Snyder in the English dub.
History[]
Maruba and his company were hired to provide security to Kudelia Aina Bernstein, an advocate for the Mars Independence movement. When the CGS base was attacked by the forces of the Gjallarhorn Mars Branch, Maruba fled the base in a hurry with his valuables.
Later, after the children of CGS's Third Group staged a revolt against the adults of the First Group and took over the company, renaming it "Tekkadan", Maruba teamed up with the Turbines of Teiwaz to take back his property from Tekkadan, as well as Kudelia, whom Maruba also listed as his property. Teiwaz attempted an attack on Tekkadan's ship Isaribi, but members of Tekkadan were able to board the Turbines ship and cut a deal with Naze Turbine. After hearing out Tekkadan's plight, Naze agreed to stop his attack and help Tekkadan become a Teiwaz subsidiary. An outraged Maruba protested, but Naze reminded him that he had nothing to offer them before sending him off to one of Teiwaz's mines to work to repay his debt to them.
