The Hackensack Slasher is one of the overarching antagonists of the TV horror comedy series Chucky.
He is a serial killer who back in the mid-1960s was known for killing several people in Hackensaw, New Jersey, hence his nickname. One fateful night, the Hackensack Slasher breaks into the home of Charles Lee Ray and indirectly incites him to replicate his actions and kill his mother, making him the reason of why Chucky became a serial killer in the first place.
He was portrayed by Christopher Cordell.
History[]
In 1965 during the birthday party of Charles Lee Ray, an announcement appeared on the radio proclaiming that two more bodies had been found. Later on, Charles heard a disturbance and went downstairs. The Hackensack Slasher invaded his childhood home and gutted his father. Horrified, his mother takes Charles and herself and they hid upstairs in one of the closets. Unbeknownst to her, Charles had acquired a pocketknife, and he stabs her to death with it.
Eventually, the Hackensack Slasher arrives to the room and starts to search for the two. Opening the closet door, instead of being enraged that he was cheated out of a victim, he is proud of Charles and even gives him advice on how to cover his tracks. He then gives Charles a switchblade and cheerfully leaves, wandering off into the night likely with the intention to kill much more people, while leaving Charles all alone until he was found and sent to the Burlington County Home for Wayward Boys.
It's unknown if the Hackensack Slasher was ever caught, but it's more than likely that he got away with the murders as Charles never reported his actions out of devotion to him. Simiarly, it's unclear whether the Hackensack Slasher ever became aware of the deranged serial killer he helped to create or if he is even still alive by the present day.

- On Charles Lee Ray's radio just before his father is murdered, a news announcer mentioned that the Hackensack Slasher murdered at least nineteen people. With the addition of Charles' father and his mother by proxy, his kill count is raised to at least twenty one people.
