El Silbon is the episodic antagonist of the episode of the same name of the animated short film series Fantasmagorias. El Silbon was a young man who had to be cursed eternally aimlessly for having killed his father.

Biography[]

The man who would become El Silbon was a boy who lived with his father, grandfather and his wife, but apparently his father had not accepted that they were together. One night when they were together in the barn, his father came in furious and shot his daughter-in-law with a gun, killing her. The dismayed and furious man grabbed a rake from the barn and killed his father in revenge.

But his grandfather found out what happened and decided to punish him by tying him to a tree where he gave him several lashes and cursed him to wander eternally without rest and gave him to the dogs to end his life.

But his story does not end there, the boy revived and with the curse previously said he began to walk eternally aimlessly ready to murder womanizing men. Finally, it is known that he whistles a spooky melody, which if you hear it close is far away but if you hear it far away it means that it is close.
