The Desire Grand Prix Staff are a group of individuals responsible for holding the Desire Grand Prix and the main antagonists of Kamen Rider Geats. They are also the ones who designed the Jyamato to serve as enemies for the game in order to provide entertainment for their audience.
History[]
The Desire Grand Prix originates from a future where humanity has advanced to the point where all new humans are created artificially, live out long but predetermined lifespans and can customize all aspects of their appearance. As they no longer fear things like death, the Desire Grand Prix was set up by their ruler Suel to be entertainment for them and to provide them with the feeling of excitement they lacked in their own lives.
The Jyamato were created to be enemies in the DGP, but were originally much weaker. Other differences in the initial format of the DGP were that the winner was originally gifted with a simple coin as a prize. At some point, Mitsume, the Navigator of the DGP, developed the power to create miracles and fell in love with a winner of the DGP. Although as someone from the future she theoretically should not have been able to conceive a child with her lover, she was able to anyway using her power to create miracles. After Mitsume had her son, Suel turned her into the Goddess of Creation to harness her power for the DGP. Now with the power to rewrite the world as they saw fit in the DGP Staff's possession, the prize for winning the DGP was changed from a simple coin to the world being changed to have their desire fulfilled. The Jyamato were also strengthened at this time to provide a harder challenge. With Mitsume now a critical part of the DGP, her existence was erased from almost all of the DGP's records, along with the existence and identity of her lover.
For the Trump Jyamato round of the game, due to there being an odd number of players, a staff member became Kamen Rider PunkJack and was assigned to be Morio Koganeya's partner for the round.
When Ace threatened to uncover more of the secrets of the DGP, Girori had PunkJack enter the next game and try to sabotage him. When Punkjack failed, Girori entered the game himself as Kamen Rider Glare. However, for his interference, he was booted from the game by Niramu, who promptly revealed that the DGP was an entertainment series to Ace, Keiwa and Neon.
For the next round, Girori was replaced by Chirami as game master. However, Chirami would later have the Vision Driver stolen from him by Beroba, who used it to hijack the Desire Grand Prix and turn it into the Jyamato Grand Prix.
Although Beroba was able to get both Ace and Niramu eliminated and claim both Vision Drivers, Suel retook control of the DGP immediately after the JGP ended and revived Niramu to assist him in carrying out the "Grand End", the transfer of the DGP to another era in time and the erasure of all traces of its existence from the era they were currently in. Suel also began a Desire Royale to force the remaining DGP Riders to fight each other and keep them distracted while he finished preparations for the Grand End. As a result, Beroba was forced to hand over both Vision Drivers to avoid being left behind and erased from existence by the Grand End. Discovering that the Goddess of Creation's powers were weakening, Suel decided to have her eliminated as part of the Grand End, having already identified Tsumuri as the inheritor of her powers. When Niramu voiced his objections, Samas shot him and took his place as Game Producer.
After Ace halted the Grand End and prevented the DGP Staff from bringing Tsumuri with them to the future, Zitt was sent to the past to eliminate Ace and recapture Tsumuri. Although Tsumuri transferred her powers to Ace, Zitt was able to capture Ace and chain him up to harness his powers. He also created a clone of Tsumuri called Black Tsumuri to bring about the end of the world.
Hierarchy[]
Game Producer[]
The Game Producer handles the managerial aspects of the Desire Grand Prix, such as appointing the Game Master and gathering sponsors for the DGP from whatever era they're in. The Game Producer also controls access to the Goddess of Creation, being one of the few who knows of its existence, and what desires it grants.
Assistant Producer[]
The Assistant Producer is ranked directly below the Game Producer in the DGP Staff hierarchy. It is unknown what specific duties they hold, but they seem to act as a secretary for the Game Producer and carry out some tasks on behalf of them. They also seem to be the one who disciplines lower staff members for insubordination.
Game Master[]
The Game Master is the one who oversees and facilitates the DGP. They typically stay behind the scenes and wear a white mask to conceal their identity. They have the authority to select who it is that will become a Rider and control the theme of each round of the game using the Vision Driver, which they can also use to transform into Kamen Rider Glare. As Glare, they have more power than any Rider in the DGP and can control Guard Riders as puppets using drones, converting them into "GM Riders". They can also use their drones to equip GM Riders with powerups remotely. The Game Master is appointed by the Game Producer, who also can remove a Game Master if they are found to be abusing their powers. Although there are multiple Game Masters, seemingly only one is put in charge of the DGP.
[]
The Navigator is the individual tasked with offering Desire Drivers to selected participants of the DGP and explaining each round of the game to them. They report directly to the Game Master and occasionally act as their representative, though they also appear to have a line of communication to the Game Producer as well.
Guard Riders[]
Guard Riders are low-level personnel of the DGP Staff who act as security and handle other menial duties in the DGP. They are each given a Desire Driver and a special ID Core that lets them transform into a Guard Rider. They can also be further empowered into GM Riders by the Game Master having a Glare drone attach to their heads, which also gives the Game Master complete control of their movements. The tasks the Guard Riders are entrusted with include wiping the memories of participants that get dropped and stopping any participants from fleeing the game. Unlike the upper management of the DGP, the Guard Riders don't come from the future but are usually recruited from whatever era the DGP is currently being held in.
Sponsors[]
Sponsors are not technically members of the DGP Staff, but instead are influential societal figures from whatever era the DGP is being held in whom the management has enlisted to help cover up the existence of the DGP and the Jyamato from the public. Usually, the sponsors do so in exchange for having one of their desires granted. During the seasons of the DGP held in the 21st Century, the sponsors were mainly business leaders who used their political connections and ties to law enforcement to keep the Jyamato covered up from the general public.
Supporters[]
Supporters are also not technically members of the DGP Staff, but are instead esteemed viewers of the DGP who have been granted several privileges, including the permission to set up "secret missions" within the DGP that give rewards to whichever Rider completes them. They also each possess a device called the Laser Raise Riser, which grants them the power to alter their appearance and assume their own Kamen Rider forms.
