The Demon Tide is a minor antagonist in the Kingdom Hearts series, as a member of the Pureblood Heartless.
History[]
Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-[]
A Demon Tide went to fight against Aqua and King Mickey in the Realm of Darkness where it was defeated. It was later seen in the ruined area of the Destiny Islands to fight the duo once more, but was defeated once more.
Kingdom Hearts III[]
A Demon Tide was first shown in Twilight Town trying to kill Hayner, Pence, and Olette after a group of Nobodies were slain. It was then chased off by Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
Another one was seen in the Keyblade Graveyard where it went to consume the Seven Guardians of Light, which it succeeded in, thus fulfilling the Master of Masters' prophecy of the Second Keyblade War, only for that outcome to be rewritten when Sora was able to rescue everyone and reset time to moments before the Demon Tide attacked. The Demon Tide was later seen to fight against the heroes once more and later went to consuming other Heartless, Nobodies and a small handful of Unversed to finish off the Heroes. It was later defeated by Sora and the Lights of the Past, forcing Master Xehanort to summon the Skein of Severance to have the Guardians face his True Organization XIII after his trump cards in the Demon Tide and Terra-Xehanort were stopped due to Sora's meddling with rewriting the outcome of the Second Keyblade War, a direct violation of the Master of Masters' will and the Book of Prophecies.

- A Demon Tide is regarded as a Bad Omen in the Kingdom Hearts series.
- It is believed that their is either one or two known Demon Tides to exist, not counted the Union X[cross]/X[chi] saga.
