~ Carl's Dad forcing his son to go to work. |
Carl's Dad is a minor antagonist in the Adult Swim animated series Aqua Teen Hunger Force. He is the father of one of the series' main characters, Carl Brutananadilewski.
He was voiced by Dave Willis who also voiced others characters in the series, including his son, Meatwad and Ignignokt.
Biography[]
Carl's Dad appears only in the episode "Cybernetic Ghost of the Christmas Past from the Future" during a flashback set in Christmas 1968 where he gives Carl a piece of carpet (which his son starts playing with) as a Christmas gift and refers to it as "berber", because he thinks it's an industry term. Carl's Dad then reveals that the carpet is going to be dinner. When his son objects to this, he simply says that the carpet needs to be boiled in order to soften the glue. He then tells his son to hurry so they could get to work, revealing that he had Carl work at an early age even on Christmas. Carl's objection reveals that the job in question is making insulation. Although it is left unknown what type the insulation is or what is it for, the respirator seen suggests fiberglass insulation for homes.
It can be presumed that Carl's Dad is a divorcee who had some kind of military occupation and raised his son after the divorce. In the flashback, Carl is seen wishing for a "new mommy" with his mother nowhere to be seen. His mother is later seen in a VA hospital which is a kind of place where only members of the military and their families would be allowed.
