Biography[]

Bunny & Claude: We Rob Carrot Patches[]

Bunny and Claude were seen robbing a convince store and ran away with a box load of carrots. Bunny shot off several rounds in the direction of the convenient store with her revolver, until they bump into a stereotypical southern sheriff who mistakes them for a innocent couple (because Claude said that they didn't steal). Not knowing that he crossed paths with Bunny & Claude, the Sheriff loads the spilled carrots back into the box and helps them to their car. The rabbit criminals offered the sheriff a carrot before they sped off, leaving the sheriff in a cloud of dust. A tied up cashier hopped out of the convenient store Bunny & Claude just robbed and told the dumbfounded sheriff that he just been foiled by Bunny & Claude.

Meanwhile, Bunny and Claude continued robbing more convenient stores. As they raced down the highway, the sheriff in his police car begins to chase them, until Bunny and Claude maneuvered their vehicle in the direction of the sheriff. They charged towards the sheriff destroying his cruiser.

Bunny & Claude reached a hideout nearby and were peacefully counting the carrots they stole until a knock on the door interrupts them. Bunny walks up to the door and peaks through the hole to see who it is. It is none other than the sheriff, who makes a couple of unsuccessful attempts to catch the criminals, only to fall into a cat's garbage can constantly. After the last unsuccessful attempt to catch the rabbits, Claude cuts the rope holding a piano to fall on the Sheriff, who runs a fair distance away to avoid getting hit. One would assume that the sheriff is safe, but from out of nowhere the piano falls right on top of the Sheriff's body.

The thuggish Rabbits continue there crime spree, robbing convenient stores and out-pursuing the sheriff who is still chasing them. After shooting at the Sheriff with a submachine gun, blowing out his cruiser's tires, forcing him to carry it as he continues the pursuit on foot, Bunny asks Claude something, to which Claude angrily replied "Is That All You Think About?! Carrots!?" as Bunny bats her eyes at him. Meanwhile, the Sheriff makes a trap to catch Bunny & Claude. Bunny and Claude stop at a carrot farm and began collecting carrots. They try to pull a big one out. To their surprise, a giant carrot jumped out, and who would be under that disguise than the Sheriff. Bunny and Claude began complementing on the Sheriff's costume, who falls for their act. Claude tells the Sheriff to turn around to see the back. He kicks the sheriff and runs off with Bunny, who jump back into their car and drive off with the sheriff hot on their tail as he resumes pursuit in his cruiser with his siren wailing.

The Great Carrot Train Robbery[]

Arriving in the town of Podunk, Bunny & Claude ask the stationmaster when the 515 Carrot Express is to arrive. After he tells them it will arrive at 4:15, Bunny asks him to change the signal to red to have it stop as they would like to board it. The stationmaster refuses, saying the train is a freight train, not a passenger train, but being manhandled by Claude quickly has him come around and do as they ask. As he then attempts to barter and negotiate with them to apologize for his earlier rudeness, Bunny reveals their identities to him. Realizing he's dealing with Bunny & Claude, the stationmaster faints in shock. With him out cold, Bunny & Claude board the train, climbing into a boxcar loaded with carrots. As the train departs afterwards, Claude tells Bunny that they'll wait until the train is out of town, then stop it, unload the carrots, and make good their getaway. Unknown to them, the stationmaster recovers, realizes the situation, and quickly notifies the Sheriff of what happened.

When the Sheriff learns of Bunny and Claude having boarded the Carrot Express to hijack it and steal the carrots onboard, he boards a different cruiser from his normal one and heads off to catch up to the train. When he reaches it, he ends up getting half of his cruiser demolished trying to beat the Carrot Express to a railroad crossing. Despite losing the back half of his cruiser to the locomotive, he manages to drive what's left to a bridge over the tracks and attempts to board the train, but mistimes his jump and lands in the smokestack, leading to some humorous injuries crossing the boiler. Meanwhile, Claude decides to head up and over to the engine to engage the brakes, but is shocked to find the Sheriff aboard, as the Sheriff is in seeing him. With the Sheriff aboard, Bunny & Claude do what they can to evade him, including hiding in some barrels in the boxcar with the carrots. Entering himself, the Sheriff hides in another barrel to ambush them when they come for the carrots, only for Claude to nail the lid shut before sticking a lit stick of dynamite into it through a knothole and then rolling the barrel out of the boxcar, wishing the Sheriff to have "a barrel of fun". The Sheriff is unable to escape in time before the dynamite detonates.

When the Sheriff tries to catch up again on a handcar, Claude uncouples the boxcar carrying the carrots to roll back on the Sheriff when he disconnects it on an incline the train was climbing. The Sheriff manages to divert into a siding to avoid the runaway cars, but ends up crashing into the buffers at the end due to not paying attention. Afterwards, Claude uses the handbrake to bring the boxcar to a safe stop, and then prepares to go get the car to load up their payload while Bunny waits with the carrots.

Not giving up, the Sheriff pays a local farmer to buy his horse he was using for plowing, and rides it to where Bunny & Claude are with their boxcar of carrots. As the Sheriff arrives, Bunny & Claude hold each other close as the Sheriff places them under arrest and begins to tell them off on how crime doesn't pay and begins to read them their Miranda Rights, but is interrupted when he discovers the horse he arrived on eating some of the carrots that Bunny & Claude had piled up outside the boxcar after filling up their getaway car with them. By the time the Sheriff can intervene, the horse has eaten the whole pile, becoming very fat. The Sheriff is livid at losing his evidence against Bunny & Claude, but before he can reprimand the horse further, Bunny & Claude use the opportunity to make their escape as they drive off in their car with the carrots they had, leaving the Sheriff to resume pursuit as he bounces after them on the horse, despite its fat condition.

The Ballad of Bunny & Claude[]

"Oh, the carrots was like golden in the Oklahoma sun
But these rabbits, they was bold ones and they grabbed them on the run
Those carrots
Oh, the sheriff was a-comin', but they'd stop to leave their sign
They'd spelt it out in bullets in the sheriff's car's behind
It said 'Bunny and Claude, we rob carrot patches'!
Oh, you can keep you money, don't you worry about your jewels
You may think it's kinda funny, but they fought out all their duels
Just for carrots
Now, the sirens was a-sounding, and the law was comin' on
These rabbits, they was houndin', but the carrots all was gone
So was Bunny and Claude
This rabbit and his broad
Oh, that's the ballad of Bunny and Claude!"
