OWH Midweek Throwdown

Hi everyone!!  I was so thrilled when I received an email from Jan asking me if I could create a couple of cards for the Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown Challange.  What an honor to be asked to create cards for such a wonderful cause!!  When I found out that Michelle Perkett Studio was the sponsor of this challenge I was so excited!!!  Michelle has the most AWESOME fantasy digital images and you can also find some of her fabulous images in stamp form.

For this challenge I was provided with a couple of Michelle's images (which BTW I already owned.  LOL!!) to give you a little inspiration.  Here are the two cards that I created using these fabulous images.....

I just love both of these images and both cards are a little different than my style but I loved how they turned out!!!  You know me....I'm a total glitter girl!   I'm sorry that I don't have my Copic colors for you today but I forgot to write them down and it has been too long ago since I completed them that I can't remember!!

I am honored to present your inspiration cards for this week and I hope you will join in the Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown because it is for such a great cause!!!!

God bless our military men and women for their unselfish service to our country!!!!  We love each and every one of you!!

Thank you for stopping by today and I would love to see what you do with Michelle's fabulous images for the Stars and Stamps Midweek Throwdown Challenge!!!

Have a good one!!!

Aloha from Kami (Tammy)

Click Play to hear my goodbye song to you all!!!

Aloha!! Welcome to your next stop on the Michelle Perkett Studio Aloha DT Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Sandi's blog then you are on the right track. If you happened upon my blog then I'm sure you will not want to miss one single part of this awesome blog hop so you if you would like to go back to the beginning you can start at Michelle's blog.

As some of you know we are saying goodbye to the very first Michelle Perkett Studio DT.  First I will show you my card created with the beautiful Leilani from Michelle Perkett Studio.  I have created an easel card...........

Isn't she awesome!?!  Can you imagine my excitement when I was going through my paper stash looking for a DP that would fit this theme when I came upon this fabulous paper from My Mind's Eye!?!  And it matched perfectly with my image!!

Copics Used:
Skin - E00, E11, E13 and R20
Skirt - G20, YG63 and YG67
Flowers - R22 and R24
Hair - E53, E55, E57 and E59

Other materials used:

Ultra fine FlowerSoft in sand to create the sand.
Prima paper flowers
Bella Baubles
Tim Holtz distress ink in Broken China and rock candy Distress Stickles to create the sky
Viva glitter liner for the center of the flowers on her Lei, ankle and hair.

This card is actually so much prettier in real life.  I have cut Leilani out and uses chipboard in back of her to pop her up just a little.  I really love how it turned out.

Okay, now for the second part of the Blog Hop requirement.   Send a thank you note to the DT.

To Michelle and my fellow team mate members.......

Team Members....you have all been such a pleasure to work with over the last 6 months until my life seemed to get in the way.  The friendship and inspiration that you have provided me will be in my heart forever.  You girls that were on my team....how can I ever thank you for the fabulous creations that you created week after week?  You all rock.  I'm sorry that I deserted you the last month but things in my personal life had to come first.  I'm going to miss working with you all!

Michelle, OMG.....where do I even start to to thank you for everything?  It has been a pleasure being on your very first DT and something that I will never forget.  You are one of the most amazing women that I have ever met in my life and I'm so happy to call you my friend!!  The art work that you create is awe inspiring and your love for it just oozes in your drawings.  I'm also sorry that I deserted you the last month of my term but felt that if I couldn't give something my 100% best then it was time to step down.  You mean the world to me and hope that we stay friends for a long time to come!!!

And last...I want to thank all of our members who have allowed me to provide a little inspiration along the way.  You were the reason we did what we did!!!  Thank you!!!!

Now you will want to hop on over to see Maria for you next stop on the hop!!

Aloha......Until We Meet Again!!!!

Hi everyone!!  It's time for a new challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio and this week we are giving you the 3P's challenge!!  :)  Did you say what!?! :P  This is the challenge for this week.........

3P's

3 Different Papers (designer and or cardstock)
3 Pearls
3 Elements that have a color that starts with P (can be different colors as long as it starts with P)

And of course you have to use a Michelle Perkett Studio image.

For this challenge I have used the absolutely adorable "Penny" image.
Isn't she just too cute!?!  Of course you can tell what my P's colors are huh!?!  :)

The image is colored with Copics.
DP is from DoodleBug
My 3 elements are.....purple ribbon, pink and purple flowers and purple magic mesh (it was actually white but after I took my ink pad to it it matched perfectly and started with a P).
I have left the sentiment off for now because I can't decide what I want to use this card for.  I think it would be a perfect little birthday card for Kaiya who will be 2 in August.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will stop by Michelle Perkett Studio and see the awesome creations from the DT.  WOW....they just never cease to amaze me!!  We would love to have you all join us as well!!!!

Favorite Color Combo And..........

That's right, it's time for a new challenge at Michelle Perkett Studio!  This week we have issued a challenge to color one of Michelle's images with your favorite color combo and also use lace and pearls!!  Now how much fun can you have with that one!?!  Here's the card I created using this challenge............
I have used Michelle's BFF Mermaids and OMG....aren't the just adorable!?!  I bet you can't guess what my favorite color combo is!!!!  LOL!  I just love bright colors and I fell in love with this color combo when I was scrapbooking.  This seems to be my go to combo when I have girly images!!  I used my pearls on the bubbles around the girls and I really struggled with the lace.  Everything I did looked off.  Well....I decided to use the lace as my corners and it actually looks pretty cute IRL!!

Here are the Copic colors that I used.............
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I hope you will join us at Michelle Perkett Studio for out challenge this week.  I would love to know what your favorite color combos are.  The rest of the DT has done an outstanding job with this challenge so why not stop by and check them out.  We would love to have you join us!!!  Hope to see you there!!!

Have a good one!

Be Inspired

That is the name of the first challenge on the Michelle Perkett Studio's new challenge blog.  I was looking through all of my Michelle Perkett images and believe me....I have a lot of them and I was totally inspired by Arianna!!  She is so beautiful and I was inspired to create something that I could hang in my craft room!!!  Here is what I created...............

When I find the perfect fibers I will punch holes in the corners with my Crop-A-Dile and make it into a wall hanger.  As of now...you just get to see it as is.

Copic Colors Used:

I also used Tiara Stickles and my MS butterfly punch.  The DP is from Websters Pages.

I am so happy with how this turned out and now hubby thinks I need to make one for each one of the granddaughters!!  I guess that means he liked it!!  LOL!!!

We would love to have you come and join us at Michelle Perkett Studio's challenge blog or come join us at Paper Craft Planet for some chatting fun and freebies!!  We are going to be having a Love Letter blog hop in February and would love to have you join us.  Michelle is providing us with the image so you can play along with us!!  Hope to see you there!!!!

A Recipe Challenge

This week at Michelle Perkett Studio our challenge was based on a sketch.  This will be our very last challenge on the PCP group because starting next week we have our very own challenge blog!!!!  Now how fun is that!?!  For this challenge I have also incorporated a recipe challenge from Sketches! {by tamara}.  I am so happy that she has started her sketch blog back up!!  Some of you may recall that I was on her scrapbook DT some time ago and I loved working with her.  She is just the sweetest person!!  Okay...now on to my card!!

The image is called Daydream Fantasy and I absolutely love her!!  She is very detailed but that was the fun part!!  She is colored with Copics and glittered with Stickles.  The recipe was to use rub ons, bling and flowers.  Hey...that's an easy one for me!!  I used a Basic Grey rub on flourish and tore apart a Prima flower crystal for my bling.  I also used Prima mini roses for my flowers and used my MS vine punch.  The ribbon is by Offray and the hat pin is from Maya Road.  I also used a digital sentiment by VL Designs from The Stamping Boutique.   The DP is the new Basic Grey Origins and OMGosh, I love all of this line of paper!!!

I am really happy with how my card turned out and hope you enjoy it too!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again real soon!!!

Have a good one!!!
