As a new journey begins in my life I have decided that this is a journey that I really need to document!!!
About a month ago I enrolled in a new direct sales company called LimeLight By Alcone. This company was created by Alcone Co. and if you know anything about the beauty industry you will probably know the name Alcone. They have been supplying makeup artist with makeup since the 1950's which have been used on celebrities and showgirls alike. Alcone wanted a way to compensate the makeup artists that referred customers to them for a product. Michele Gay, the founder, did lots of research and kept coming back to direct sales and hence...LimeLight By Alcone was born!! They started the company in February 2015 with a handful of makeup artists joining them. In November, they experienced hyper-growth as word got out about this amazing company. When I joined there were less than 500 Beauty Guides and then things went crazy!!!
We have products that have been used by top pro makeup artists in Hollywood, on Broadway (theaters) and even on the runway and television sets. Those flawless looks can now be yours!!! We bring the best pro quality makeup, only celebrities and actors could have access to, to women across the US. TO YOU!!!
Thus, the journey begins!!! If you are interested in hearing more about your chance to get in on the ground floor of a quickly growing company, lets talk!!!

A Little Change
While my blog has always been more about crafting with a few other posts thrown in I have decided that I'm going to move it in a new direction. I am going to use it as a tracker for some little homestead things I'm doing and going to be doing. If these things interest you I invite you to follow along but will totally understand if you choose not to follow anymore. :)
My first adventure is going to begin April 1st as I have 75 Cornish Cross chicks and a few Americauna chicks arriving. The Americauna's will be joining my current flock of 52 egg layers and the CX chicks will be raised for food (if this bothers you please by all means unfollow me).
I will also post some healthy living things along the way along with my adventure into creating my own homemade cleaning and personal care items. Plans are in the works for a new garden this year where we will raise nothing but heirloom seeds to get us on our way to sustainability, and I'm sure I'll throw a few craft projects in now and then!!
For those of you who know me, we still raise composting worms and I will probably post a few things about them too. It has been a tough one this last year as hubby tried to kill them all by adding lime to the bed thinking he was adding diatomaceous earth. He couldn't figure out why the worms were disappearing and when I finally caught him doing it I had my ah ha moment. He was making the bed WAY TO ALKALINE!! Eek, no wonder they were all dying!! They are finally starting to recover.
Looking forward to the journey and hope you follow along!
Have a good one!!

I'm Back!!!
Well, hello there!!! Long time no chat, huh?? I kind of took a hiatus from my coloring and card making but this last week I seem to have gotten the bug a little bit. I was looking at some of the cards my friend Meesh was creating and it whacked me right in the face....YOU NEED TO COLOR!!! Haha So, color I did. Hoping to get around to making cards tomorrow but just wanted to let y'all know that I'm still alive!!
Hope you are having a safe and happy Memorial Day and lets remember all those soldiers that are no longer with us and the ones that made the ultimate sacrifice!!
Here's a look at some of my first colorings in almost a year!! :)
And there you have it, my attempt at coloring in almost a year. I need to brush up on some skills but hopefully it doesn't take too long to get back into the swing of things.
I will also be changing things up a bit as I have made the journey to clean eating. Every now and again I like to create a new clean meal and I will be sharing those recipes here with you (mainly so I can remember them LOL)!! I'm going to truly make my blog about the title of my blog.
Life....Enjoy It!!!
Hope to see you back and thank you for stopping by today. It's been so long that everyone has probably abandoned me. :)
Hugs!!!

A Sweet 'n Sassy Saturday
Hello friends!! FIRST OFF....I have to clarify that I am not leaving the blogging and card making world, I'm just leaving my DT's at this time, due to the fact that I'm just not going to have the time to commit to them. I'll still make time to play but it will be on my time. Thank you all for the well wishes but you can still come and visit me!! :)
As some of you know I have been guest designing for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps this month and I have to say that I am having lots of fun with it. Today I have a card for you that I created after receiving my Split Coast Stampers Weekly Inkling. OMGosh, I was so inspired that I had to give it a try and the stamp set "Spring Tulips" was perfect for it!!! Here's my card...
Okay, now for some details about my card. First off I stamped my image on Kraft cardstock with Distress ink and then added clear embossing powder over the top and heat embossed it. Then I used the "Bleached Out" technique by Beate Johns at SCS to bleach out my image. It turned this really pretty pale yellow color. After the bleach was dry I used my Copics to add a little dimension to the tulips and petals. After I finished coloring I used my Spellbinder Grand Calibur to cut my image out and then ran it through my Cuttlebug in an embossing folder. I then used my Distrezz-it-all to distress the edges. I was trying to do the "Faux Fabric" technique (tutorial by Karen Barber at SCS) but I didn't have the right embossing folder so this is what I used. I think it still looks really pretty!! :) After I had it mounted on my scalloped oval I used my Smooch Spritz over the image. I sure wish you could see it in the picture because it really is pretty!!! I then stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from the same "Spring Tulips" stamp set. I have used this really gorgeous paper from MME called Stella and Rose and OMGosh...I LOVE THAT DP!!!
Copics Used:
Tulip - Y32, Y35, Y38
Leaves - YG63, YG67 and G40
I hope I have inspired you a little today and seriously....YOU WILL LOVE THIS STAMP SET!!!
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a spectacular weekend!!

As I Say Goodbye
Hello all my dear sweet friends. With much sadness I announce that this will be my last challenge with Phindy's Place. Since my hubby retired in January a lot of things have started happening in our lives. We are getting ready to build a new shop and a chicken coop (I have 55 little babies that are going to need a home in about 4 weeks), time to move the worm business to the next level and my step son and DIL have asked me to continue homeschooling my granddaughter through the summer. I just have too much on my plate and I don't feel that I am able to devote the time needed for DT work at this time. I have been with Phindy from the very beginning and it breaks my heart to have to let go but being the anal person that I am...I can't do anything half assed!!! With that being said, I present you with my final farewell card and hope that all of the friends that I have made through Phindy's Place along the way will continue to come visit me. I'm sure I'll have a card or two for you along the way. My cards seem to be getting more and more simple. :) Must be the time restraint!! Your challenge for this week is to use the colors Purple and Teal. Here's my card using one of the Wee Babbie images called "Fresh Buns" and I just couldn't help the play on words!! :)
LOL....isn't she just the cutest thing ever!?! OMGosh, as soon as I saw her I fell in love and had to have her. She fit perfectly with the way I was feeling!! I really wish you could see this card in real life. That little purple thing on my flower is actually a little clothes pin and all of my bubbles have been stickled!!
Copics Used:
Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13 and E95
Shower Cap and accessories - V0000, V12, V15, V17 and BG70, BG72, BG75
Tub - C00, C0, C1
Bubbles and Water - B0000, B000 and RV0000
I used a Sky Blue MultiLiner SP to color her eyes. I really do love those pens, especially for color eyes!!
I hope you will join us this week for this AWESOME color challenge at Phindy's Place and dang, you should see what the rest of the DT has created!!! They are amazing and I am so going to miss working with this group of super talented girls!!
Thank you for stopping by today and hope to see you at Phindy's Place!!
Have a good one!!
