Jem and the Holograms är en amerikansk musikaldramafilm från 2015 producerad och regisserad av Jon M. Chu, samt med manus skrivet av Ryan Landels. Filmen, vars ledande roller spelas av Aubrey Peeples, Stefanie Scott, Hayley Kiyoko, Aurora Perrineau, Ryan Guzman, Molly Ringwald och Juliette Lewis, är väldigt löst baserad på den animerade 1980-talsserien med samma namn, som skapades av manusförfattaren Christy Marx.[3] Regissören Jon M. Chu, som är uppvuxen med att titta på originalserien tillsammans med sina systrar,[4] hade förövrigt velat genomföra skapandet av denna film under elva års tid, men hade då blivit avvisad med detta förslag av Universal Studios, på grund av alldeles för höga filmkostnader med mera.
