Best wishes

A young friend has graduated with her masters degree in library science and has moved out of the area.  This was a big move for her and I wanted to recognize both the move physically and professionally.

Best wishes, Lauren!  It's been so much fun watching you grow up and turn into such a fine young woman.

February technique calendar

Roni chose a rather interesting technique for February...the use of petroleum jelly.  When you try this technique for yourself, please note that thinner paints work much better than thicker ones.  I used distress paints but watered them down.
Ranger:  distress paints (Frayed Burlap, Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavender, Festive Berries); Potting Soil Archival Ink; Black Fude Ball Pen; distress stains (Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavender, Festive Berries)

Marvy heart punch; old book page

Advantus/Idea-ology: washi tape

February is a special month for me.  My birthday, the day I met my future husband, our first date and Valentine's Day...all within the same week!  Needless to say, I LOVE February!

Drawing to a close

As we count down the last hours to the new year, I want to thank each and everyone of you for crossing my path. In some way you've touched me as a person or artist. I've grown because of your touch. My wish for you in the new year is that you'll find the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual strengths you'll need when the occasion arises. I hope you'll enjoy the countless blessings bestowed upon you.

I was inspired by a Christmas card made by a fellow Technique Junkie (Vada Schutz). She is a Turbo Team designer for the Technique Junkies Newsletter which means she's a dynamite artist. The original can be seen on her blog (http://vada-stampsinkandpaper.blogspot.com). I CASEd her card using materials I had on hand. This is my 'Thank you' card for all of you. Without you I would not be where I am today.

May you have a safe and wonderful Happy New Year!
