A wisp spider was a type of spider that could be found on the Outer Rim planet Dalna. According to the Dalnan Honesty Weft, his father—Ambassador Weft—had captured a wisp spider and then set it free outside on at least one occasion. While he did, the ambassador stated that the spider was trying to do its job and that it wasn't its fault it had got lost.^[1]

In 232 BBY,^[2] while on the Outer Rim moon Wevo after his father's death during a bombing by Nihil pirates, Honesty was approached by Jedi Padawan Imri Cantaros—who had also lost his Jedi Master, Douglas Sunvale, in the bombing—who suggested the two find the Nihil who had killed his Master and Honesty's father. The Dalnan then mentally questioned if his father would want him to take revenge, recalling his father's capturing of a wisp spider and his words as he shooed it outside. Honesty eventually agreed to accompany the Padawan.^[1]
