Velanarian boxing was a form of martial arts that involved the use of four arms. There was a crosscut version of the art, which Rodo was familiar with. The bouncer had known a being that could perform some of the style, however, he informed Nova Stihl that the techniques didn't translate that well to a being with only two arms. During their brief friendship aboard the Death Star, Rodo taught the stormtrooper a technique during a sparring match.
