Spark-roaches were a species that lived in a pit in Vader's castle. When the personal servant of Darth Vader, Vaneé, was imprisoned in the pit by his master, Vaneé relied on spark-roaches as his only companions and sustenance. In the aftermath of the Battle of Endor, as the Mustafarians Giggek and Tuttel freed him, Vaneé expressed his relief by thanking Locphet and revealing that he had only spark-roaches for food and company. Vader's servant further muttered that he found pleasure in devouring the creatures, to which Tuttel reacted with disgust.[1]
