Dobbis was the name given to a sacred statue by the Gungans on the planet Naboo. It was associated with the Dobbis, the Gungan goddess of rain.^[2] Located on a rocky ledge near some sacred, ancient ruins and connected to the ruins by a path, Dobbis was located next to a wide tree and towered over a waterfall.^[3] Sometime prior to the Invasion of Naboo^[1] in 32 BBY,^[2] the statue had worn down with age, featuring several cracks and vine trails. The Gungan Jar Jar Binks spent several afternoons sleeping next to the statue.^[1]

Two droids belonging to the Chiss Captain Swagg attempted to steal the statue of Dobbis alongside others. Binks stumbled upon the droids loading the statue onto a heavy industrial repulsorlift cart. They fired at Binks, who dove into a decaying obelisk, accidentally knocking it down onto the droids and crushing them. The cart containing the statue lurched forward, but Binks was able to stop it from falling off the cliff and hid the cart and the statue behind a wide tree.^[1]
