A burial pod
- "They bundled the bodies of their dead with great ceremony into bags of rancor hide—adorned with bones and shells and strung with herbs against the smell of decay—and hoisted them up high above the ground."
- ―Falta
Burial pods were pods in which Nightsisters were buried.[2] The pods were hung on Grave Thorns.[3]
Description[]
Burial pods could be made of cloth[4] or animal skins, which was mainly rancor hide.[1] When the Chant of Resurrection was completed, Nightsister Zombies crawled out of the pods.[5]
During Nightsister funerary rites, cloth was washed in magickal water. Then the cloth was hand-braided together while reciting a spell of protection. Finally, the bodies were cleansed with fragrant oils.[4]
