Plot[]
The episode opens with a fight involving a huge Metarex named Scarship and an armada of smaller ships. Scarship destroys every ship and he's assigned to a new mission: to destroy Sonic and Dr. Eggman. Aboard the Crimson Egg, Shadow ponders Sonic and his friends' reaction to his appearance, as he didn't remember anything about them. Eggman then tells Shadow that it would be better if his past stayed forgotten (If Shadow regained his memory, Eggman would no longer have his useful tool). Dr. Eggman then finds out that Scarship is approaching and a battle engages. Eggman sends Shadow to destroy Scarship, but Shadow is unable to do the job as he passes out when his energy fails from not being regulated by his Limiters. Rouge flees from the Crimson Egg, just before Scarship sends a missile and seems to have destroyed it.
Rouge informs the Blue Typhoon's crew of the situation and sends them images from the battle. Cosmo recognizes Scarship, as it is the Metarex who destroyed her group's ship. Cosmo begs Tails to flee away, because she doesn't want to risk her friend's lives. However, Sonic and the others insist that they need to face Scarship.
When Scarship appears, the battle starts and nobody gets the advantage. However, Sonic, Amy and Knuckles leave the ship unnoticed and they use debris to clog the Metarex's missile tubes, which damages it when it tries to fire. Scarship then decides to destroy the Blue Typhoon by crashing into it. The Typhoon is not able to get out of its way in time, but Shadow appears from nowhere and blasts Scarship away. It appears that Eggman was able to escape from Scarship by using a smoke screen to fake an explosion. Sonic and Shadow get inside Scarship and they destroy the engine room. However, Scarship will not ever surrender and it's about to self-destroy. However, Shadow is able to freeze time around it and Sonic defeats it with the Sonic Power Cannon.

Regional differences[]
- The original three minute recap that starts this episode was cut down to thirty seconds in the dub.
- A brief shot of the Scarship's radar system is cut from the dub.
- Cosmo reacting in shock as she flashbacks to Scarship's relentless destruction to her clan was replaced with footage of Shadow using Chaos Control.
- The backstory of Shadow's creation has a slight vintage effect on it in the dub. A similar effect is used on the scene of Eggman's ship dispatching a missile.
- A small shot of Eggman laughing at Shadow was cut from the dub.
- In the original version, the Scarship states that he was only following commands from Dark Oak to regulate order in space. In the dub, he states it was his intent to destroy Sonic and Eggman.
- When Scarship is defeated, he, in agony, yells out his apologies to Dark Oak in the original. He says nothing in the dub.

- In the Italian version, in the scene where Dark Oak communicates with Scarship, Dark Oak is mistakenly voiced first without a metallic effect and subsequently with the same deep tone of Scarship.
