P. B. Jellyfish[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a mobian jellyfish and a member of the Forty Fathom Freedom Fighters.
Appearance[]
P. B. is a pinkish-purple jellyfish with a multitude of black tentacles. Though it appears that he lacks any oral arms, it could be that the ruffled section below his bell is actually highly branched oral arms, which would place him in the rhizostomae order of jellyfish. Taking this into consideration, P. B. somewhat resembles the crowned jelly, albeit a stylized version, as his bell is rounded with various bumps and curves littering its surface. Unlike the other members of the Forty Fathom Freedom Fighters, who appear exactly the same as their real-world counterparts, P. B.'s face is on the outside of his bell.
P. B. is about half the size of Tails, who stands at 56 marks.[2]
History[]
Southern Crossover[]
P.B. helped the Forty Fathom Freedom Fighters in their fight with Octobot. P.B. shocked Octobot to make him drop Tails, but was knocked back after.
Eel of Fortune[]
P.B. encountered Octobot once again, believing he was carrying out more of Robotnik's plans, he threatened to shock him. Once Octobot fled, Eel Capone encountered P.B., and knocked him out with his mollusks.
The Island of Misfit Badniks[]
P.B. shocked Crabmeat, and was chased by Jaws. Pseudo-Sonic broke up the fight before being flattened by Fluke the Blue Whale.

Personality[]
P. B. is a smart-aleck[1] who uses nicknames and jokes in battle.[3]
Powers and abilities[]
As an aquatic mobian, P. B. is capable of aquatic respiration, allowing him to breathe both on land and underwater.
P. B. has the ability to electrocute[1] enemies with a "zap" his tentacles.[3] He is also a proficient swimmer, capable of taking part in surprise attacks alongside Bottlenose and Ray, both of whom are extremely fast.[4]

Miles "Tails" Prower[]
P. B. met Tails when the fox was attacked by Dr. Robotnik's Octobot. P. B. and the other members of the Forty Fathom Freedom Fighters helped to defeat the Badnik and allied themselves with Tails in the process. Although Tails had passed out by the time P. B. arrived, the fox trusts him and has fought against danger alongside P. B. multiple times.[3][5]

- Strangely, P. B. swims by simply moving forward, instead of expanding and contracting his body to create a sort of jet propulsion.
- His name is a play on, "peanut butter and jelly".
