Julius Robotnikus is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is an ancestor of Doctor Robotnik who is a Caesar of sorts living in a mobian equivalent to ancient Rome.
History[]
In the episode "Hedgehog of the "Hound" Table", Sonic sent Robotnik and his goons, Scratch and Grounder, in their time machine to an ancient Roman Colosseum where they found themselves in front of an angry lion. In the following episode, "Robotnik's Pyramid Scheme", the three villains believe they are saved because Robotnik's ancestor, Julius Robotnikus is in charge of the event. Unfortunately for them, Julius Robotnikus gives them the thumbs down, indicating they are not escaping the lion. Robotnik, Scratch and Grounder eventually make it back to their time machine and they retreat to Mobigypt.
Personality[]
Julius is as vicious and ruthless as his descendent, in that he watches people struggle for survival against a lion, just for entertainment.
Trivia[]
- Julius Robotnikus' name is derived from Robotnik and Julius Caesar, the Roman political leader.
- Coincidentally, in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series also produced by DiC Entertainment, Robotnik's first name was Julian which is derived from Julius.
