The Egg Breaker is an antgonist that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It was a massive Super Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman to defend Egg Base Alpha.[1] The Badnik itself was heavily inspired by a mech of the same name.
Appearance[]
The Egg Breaker is a large Super Badnik with a humanoid shape and a dome-shaped head akin to an Egg Pawn's, although it possesses a large gray mace with yellow spikes in place of its left hand. It also features a round red body, a tall gray collar around its head, two green eyes, a drill-like gray nose, a set of sharp white teeth, and gray limbs with yellow and blue armor covering its lower limbs. It also has a yellow and gray rectangular piece on the right side of its chest and a round yellow bit on the left side.[1]
The Badnik itself borrows a lot of viusal similarities to the mech of the same name, with the most noticible difference being the lack of a cockpit on the robot's head. Additionally, it possesses a spiked ball in place of its left hand, in contrast to the mech it was based on, which features a spiked ball in place of its right hand.

Imposter Syndrome[]
The Egg Breaker was stationed to guard Egg Base Alpha, and as such, Surge and Kit encountered it when they attempted to infiltrate the area. Despite Dr. Starline ordering them to be silent, Surge caught the attention of the Egg Breaker, and chose to fight it while Kit disabled the base's communications. Despite Suge rapidly attacking the Egg Breaker with her lighting-based powers, the robot managed to withstand them despite the severe damage it received, and eventually managed to knock Surge into a wall with a powerful blow from its spiked mace. Before the Egg Breaker could finish Surge off, however, Kit picked up its detached spiked mace with his hydro-coil tails, and flung it back at it, damaging it enough for Surge to destroy it.[1]
A miniature model of the Egg Breaker was also present in the Egg Cave during Starline's infiltration of the area.[1]
Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings[]

The Egg Breaker Badnik appears in Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings, in the episode "Finding the Way". It is the last part of the defense force for an Eggman Empire supply depot located at Hidden Base, alongside several samurai armor-clad Egg Pawns. It attacks Shadow, Rouge, and Omega, but the trio works together to defeat it by severing its leg and arm before Shadow crushes it with a blow from above.
Powers and abilities[]
The Egg Breaker has incredible physical strength, being able to hurl opponents great distances and tear through walls with a single punch. It can also make great leaps with ease, and launch its spiked mace as a high-speed projectile. It is also quite durable, being able to take several of Surge's non-stop attacks in succession and continue to operate despite the damage.[1]

- The Egg Breaker is the second Badnik in the series to be based on one of Dr. Eggman's mechs, the first being the mass-produced variant of the Death Egg Robot.
