A weird and wonderful world where everything is pixelated—even Sonic and friends! Transform into jellyfish, mice, rockets and more to overcome the unique gimmicks of the digital world!
Cyber Station Zone is the ninth Zone of Sonic Superstars. It is a cyberspace station found in the Northstar Islands. It features a single Act with a boss battle at the end.
Located within a virtual space[1], Cyber Station is a cyberspace-themed Zone that features a pixel aesthetic. Badniks, Rings, Item Boxes, and Medals all have voxel designs exclusive to this Zone, and the playable characters will transform into various forms, including Pixel Mouses (ピクセル ネズミ[1],Pikuseru Nezumi?) and Pixel Jellyfish (ピクセル クラゲ[1],Pikuseru Kurage?) to complete challenges resembling 1980s arcade games[1].
Story[]
Sonic and his friends Tails, Knuckles and Amy arrive at Cyber Station Zone, as part of their quest to defeat the evil Dr. Eggman and his minions from taking over the Northstar Islands and gathering the Chaos Emeralds.
Overview[]
This section requires an expansion.
Boss[]
The first phase of the boss is similar to the mini boss section of Death Egg MK.II, where the Metal Fighter is on the far right of the screen attacking the player, and Eggman is on the far left, shooting a laser like in the Stardust Speedway boss from Sonic CD. After this phase of the boss is defeated, the player encounters a fake Capsule which releases more small Metal Fighters, and one big Metal Fighter (the look of it is determined by which robot parts the player has selected for their Metal Fighter in Battle Mode). From there, the boss fight continues and once the boss is defeated, the player can finally break the real Capsule.
One of the transformation gimmicks in Cyber Station Zone, the Pixel Jellyfish, has Sonic and his friends turn into voxel-styled jellyfish and swim through the air in a way that looks very similar to the ghosts from Pac-Man.
