The Big Hammer Attack (ビッグハンマー攻撃, Biggu Hanmā Kougeki^?)^[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used by Amy Rose where she attacks with a giant Piko Piko Hammer, and a variant of the Hammer Attack.

Description[]

When performing the Big Hammer Attack, Amy pulls out an oversized and massive version of the Piko Piko Hammer and whacks opponents in front of her with enough force to create small tremors.

In gameplay, the Big Hammer Attack can only be used when Amy has Knuckles the Echidna as her partner. When used, this move allows Amy to attack enemies in front of her with significant force and break metal barriers that are otherwise invulnerable to Amy's attacks. However, the Big Hammer Attack takes much longer to be executed than a regular Hammer Attack, which leaves Amy open and immobile for a longer period. It is therefore not advisable to use the Big Hammer Attack when fighting several enemies at once. To perform the Big Hammer Attack in gameplay, the player has to press .

• The Piko Piko Hammer used in this move makes a brief appearance during Sonic's credit sequence in Sonic Rush as Sonic runs from Amy.
