Let's Dance It Out

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted To CAS. I am so in love with this CAS-ual Fridays stamp set: Tutu. I love these little ballerina silhouettes with the flowered tutus and hair decorations. The sentiment I used is from one of the greatest TV pair of friends ever - Meredith and Christina from Grey's Anatomy. I just love it. I can't wait to sent it to "my person".

Please head on over to the ATCAS Challenge Blog and take a look at the wonderful inspiration pieces the Design Team has created for your inspiration. I can't wait to see what you come up with to share in the gallery. Happy crafting!

Yes You Can!

There's a new challenge up at Less Is More. This time it's a sketch. When I first looked at this sketch, I saw a jacket and tie. I also saw a spotlight. There are so many possibilities as you will see when you feast your eyes on the wonderful inspiration the Design Team has created.

Our sponsor this month is Skull And Cross Buns.

We're joined as Guest Designer by our November 2018 winner, Toni of Frankie Helps Craft. Toni's work is fun and clever, and her coloring is awesome! Take a stroll through her blog for some wonderful inspiration.

Keeping the jacket, tie and spotlight in mind, I created this card of encouragement for my son who is a college Freshman at an extremely academically rigorous school. He is also a three season athlete.  I never saw anyone work harder than he does. His grades are fantastic, but every now and then, he gets the blues and I like to send him a hug in an envelope. So that is where I went with this sketch. I just cut 2 triangles, stamped and die cut the sentiment, and added a little heart cut from a scrap of water colored paper.

Please head on over to the Less Is More Challenge Blog and check out the wonderful creations the Design Team has come up with for your inspiration. Play with us and share your take on the sketch! I can't wait to see all the ways the shetch is interpreted.

We Can Choose How To Dance

There's a new challenge up at Time Out Challenges. This time it's Inspired By Words - see challenge details above. For my card, I decided to zero in on the dancing using our sponsor stamps: CAS-ual Fridays Big Treble and Tutu. I LOVE the dancer images in the Tutu set, and I thought that this sentiment fits the challenge words perfectly.

Claire of String Bows is Guest Designer for this challenge. Claire has a wonderful CAS style and mad coloring skills. Please treat yourself to a visit to her blog - you are sure to be inspired.

Our wonderful sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays. Winner will receive a prize from their store.

I Forgot!

Hello! And Happy New Year!

I am so very excited and honored to announce, that I have joined the Less is More Design Team! Woot!!  This is my first post as a LIM Designer. When I first began blogging, I was all about the layers and embellishments. When The Less Is More Challenge first opened, I had never tried and was quite terrified of CAS design. I began to play, and as time went on, I got the hang of it and fell in love. Now it is largely my cardmaking style.  I am so happy to be part of this amazing team of crafters. Here we go!

Water in any of its forms...ice, snow, mist, liquid...

Our sponsor is

Our Guest Designer is our October 2018 winner: Viv of Daizy-Mae's Crafty Blog. Viv's designs and coloring skills are fantastic! Treat yourself to a visit to her blog. You will be so glad you did.

For my card, I used Hero Arts Enjoy the Journey stamps and dies to make this punny belated birthday card. I created the water with Hero Arts Dark Teal Liquid Watercolor. I stamped the ship on watercolor paper, colored it with Zigs, die cut, and placed it on the watercolor background in the aperture.

Peace

The January Challenge is up and running at Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge. The theme is Anything Goes, and the twist is: REINDEER. For my card, I used a Stampin Up reindeer stamp that I have had in my stash for years. I embossed it with gold EP and set it on an die cut of cork to resemble a hilly terriain. The word "peace" (Jillian Vance) seemed to fit so well with the scene.

I Look At You

The first challenge of the new year is up and running at Time Out where we are challenged to be Loving.

Our wonderful sponsor is Birch Press DesignThe winner of this challenge will get a $20 gift voucher to spend in their amazing store here.

Our Wonderful and talented Guest Designer is Jane Taylor of Purple Jet Loves Crafts. Jane is an incredibly talented designer with a CAS style. Pay her a visit. You will be so glad you did.

I just love this sentiment from Stamper's Anonymous Heartfelt Cling Stamp set. I paired it with this wonderful Capri Heart die from Poppystamps. It reminds me of a sand dollar, which is one of my favorite sea shells to find. I put the two together on a white linen scalloped rectangle die cut mounted on Neenah Solar White 110# card stock. It is very simple, but speaks volumes.

Please head over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to see what the Design Team has created to inspire you. Play with us for a chance to win a prize from Birch Press Design.
