Pete Postlethwaite OBE (7 February 1946 – 2 January 2011) was a British actor. In 1994, he was nominated for an Oscar for his part in In the Name of the Father. He was also awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003.[1]

Postlethwaite was born in Warrington, Lancashire and died of pancreatic cancer in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
