June HOMECOMING Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted these layouts for the June HOMECOMING Challenge. She said:
When I think of homecoming, I thought of our second home, the cabin! This is one of my favorite places to go. We go as many weekends as we can. Here I find peace and beauty in the outdoors and I also enjoy my scrapping hobby. I have my own little stash of supplies in a corner in the closet of my bedroom. I just cook meals and scrapbook, nothing else is pressing when we are at the cabin.
Bio~ I am a scrap o holic! Yes that is true. I am happiest when I am scrapping. I scrapbook almost every day as life permits. I would love to quit my full time job and scrap every day away. My life story unfolds in the pages of my scrapbooks. I have been scrapping since I was just a young girl, over forty years now. :0) Yes that is correct. I like to think that I am now a shabby chic scrapper. I love to ink the edges of my paper and give it the vintage look. I have come along ways from construction paper and rubber cement to beautiful pattern papers of every kind, colored acid free paper and mono adhesive. I AM the mono Queen! I love the stuff! Seriously. I have had the opportunity to be on a few design teams, I won 2nd place in the Skinny Cow scrapbook Contest earning a year supply of skinny cow products which was delicious by the way. LOL I have never been published but haven't submitted anything to become such. I am a full time Dental office manager, wife of 34 years, mother of two, grandmother of 3. I love life and I love to travel and I love scrapbooking!!

April SPRING FLING Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this layout for the April SPING FLING Challenge. She said:
The first one is my darling granddaughter's Spring Dance Recital. I used muslin fabric and inked them up to match the paper. I distressed the edges of the photo mats, added the pretty lace and embellies for a great result.
The next one I used Springy colors to help give this a bright look. Pattern paper that had flowers already printed on the edge made for a quick and easy approach. I used some mesh behind the photo mat in a soft off white, added embellishments, made a folded paper ribbon and it finished it off in style.

April SPRING FLING Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this layout for the April SPRING FLING Challenge. She said:
My definition of Spring was the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. I love tulips and would really love someday to visit Holland during their tulip season. (one can dream, right?) We took my neice on this particular day and she was not happy with anyone. Seemed like a sad day for her, but the pics we were able to get were amazing. The tulips were in full bloom and the colors were vibrant. I love Spring, although here in Utah it is a very short season. We are glad when the little flowers pop their heads out of the soil and the snow is melted. Makes for some beautiful scenery and the sandals come out. I enjoyed this topic and hope you will find something in your photo stash to help you Celebrate the season as well! I could just keep right on scrapping what Spring means to me. ;)

Pagerize Marie by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge # 20. She said:
Here is my take on the Pagerize This Challenge. My grandson doesn't stand a chance at choosing his own team. Between his mommy and his daddy's love for the University of Utah, he will be a red man through and through. Good thing he looks great in Red! LOL This was a fun page to scraplift. I loved making the football to fill in the space at the top. The banners were cute too. I used some DCWV school paper to make the banners and a making memories ribbon slide letters for Utah. Tickets and buttons embellishments were just the right touch.

March GREEN Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this layout for the March GREEN Challenge. She said:
I knew exactly what I wanted to scrap when I heard we were doing anything green. I had the opportunity to go to Ireland with my parents in 2002. It was a very fun trip. Here is one of the castle's that we visited. I used several photos because I didn't want any detail left out. I used food coloring on the wooden heart because I was at the cabin and only had white paint. LOL It worked! Paint is used on the edges and the border. I made a giant tag for journaling. I have a little stash of supplies at the cabin so I grabbed whatever would work. Buttons, trims and all. Fun challenge. Hope you will be inspired as well.

February LEAP Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this layout for the February LEAP Challenge. She said:
I chose to play Leap frog with the February challenge. I took my grandchildren to the "Toadily Frogs" exhibit at the college museum in town. These photos of my grandson trying to imitate a frog were so cute and perfect for this challenge. I started with a piece of Leapfrog Bazzill cardstock, added some Basic Grey originals pattern paper, sugar pea; and Bo Bunny wasabi dot. I also used Rock-a-bye thickers and making memory stickers for my title. I added some frog stickers by EK success and used misc buttons and rick rack to complete this darling page of green and frogs.
Thanks for looking and sharing this great hobby.

Here is one that I just did a couple of weeks ago and although it is a Christmas subject, I feel it has a lot of potential for Pagerizing! I used some old pattern paper from my stash that isn't marked, manufacturer unknown and I can't remember if the die cuts are Creative imaginations or something like that. I tried to search it but ran out of time. It was a pretty quick and easy layout. I used my son's Christmas card for the main focus. I am excited to see what others can create with this!!

January NEW Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this layout for the January NEW challenge. She said:
Here is my January NEW challenge: I used Cosmo Cricket papers and added some Bakers twin and sparkly brads. I am looking forward to some new memories to scrap. I love this new flower technique where you punch out a scallop flower and crinkle it up, then flatten it back out and scrunch it as you layer it. I also ink all my edges for the finished vintage look.

December Anything Goes Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this project for the December Anything Goes Challenge. She said:
Here is my December challenge. I had to get it done early since we are going out of town the last week of November. I was very excited when you said that we could choose our own project for December. I made two of these, one for my DIL and one for her mother. I got the Painters tray and the easle from Archivers. They are made by 7 gypsies. This is my grandson that was born on July 29, 2011. The date is on the square with his name (that I took directly from the birth announcement) but is is very light and hard to see. I used coordinating patter papers from Teresa Collins and many different embellishments that were in my stash. Prima flowers, SU jewels and anything baby blue I could find. I am really thrilled with the way it turned out and so glad I have them done. I don't know if I can wait till Christmas to give them away. This was a very fun project to do!I hope all your Christmas projects bring you joy and happiness!

November Recipe Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this recipe book for the November Recipe Challenge. She said:
Last year for Christmas gifts, I decided last minute to make books for each of my siblings of recipes from my mom's recipe box. She passed away three years ago and this was one way to share not only her recipes with my siblings but also her handwriting. I used the recipes right from her box and copied them for all. You have to realize that I had to make ten of these so all of us could have our own copy and of course my daughter wanted one when she saw the completed project. It was definately a gift of love.

Design Team Member Tamara submitted this layout for the November Recipe Challenge. She said:
Hello~ I took the challenge this month with the recipe. I used one blue shimmery cardstock, 2 pattern papers from a company that no longer exists (sorry, just using my stash) I used three photos from my sons trip to Mt. Ranier, my four word title is up to the top! my five embellishments are the snowflakes with buttons and I added journaling to explain the reason for the page. I love recipe challenges because they give me a quick way to flow through a layout. I used the Mt. Rainier photos because they were the next on my table to scrap so I could add them to my book in progress of the year 2001.
Thanks for looking!

The quote that I picked was "Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risk, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun."

I thought these pics of my granddaughters preschool graduation fit this perfectly. All of the kids during the program were doodling with each other, and everything. They are so cute at this age. I used Bazzill cardstock, doodlebug pattern paer, DCWV school embellishments, buttons, and rick rack. Making memories sticker letters, metal star and misc. ribbon and a swirl clip.

I was inspired by this months grid challenge with a layout in the September issue of Creating Keepsakes listed under tips and tricks, making the most out of your punches" . I used my Stampin up scallop square punch to make my grid background. I love how the soft blues blended with the pattern papers I chose. I added a rick rack edge up the side and some buttons for this simple look. I also matted my photos so they would stand out a little better. This is my son and his wife who just had a baby this past month. It was easy to pick a title with these darling photos.
