Hello All,
We have our Designer's choice challenge at Inkspirational. For this challenge my very dear friend both in blog land and IRL, Nonni, has chosen the challenge:
One Layer Cards
I love making one layer cards and here is what I made:
Nonni celebrated her Birthday last week and this is the card I sent her. She loves blue so I went one layer and blue for her! I hope she liked it.
We are excited that our Guest Designer this week is the inspiring Ellie, check out her blog here and I am sure you will come away ready to craft with us!
Our DT have all created some fabulous cards to inspire you. Check them out here and then get creating-enjoy!
I would also like to enter this into the 'Summer' challenge at Uniko and the 'Blue' challenge at Addicted to CAS
You know how I much I love this! :) This card was also very inspiring for me -I don't have much colored embossing powders but the look of this makes me want to get some and create a similar, monochrome look. Fantastic job! xxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous CAS one layer card. Love how rich the turquoise looks against the darker blue card stock!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! I love the lighter blue on the darker blue card base! Love the flower being off to one side too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat flower is PERFECT for a one layer design! I love the blue on blue and the clean design. I am not surprised that you nailed this challenge... your CAS style really suits one layer cards! Just beautiful!

Sandie, this is one gorgeous card with that single beautiful bloom and the shades of blue. So stunning! Love this, as I know Nonni does!
ReplyDeleteHugs~c
Simply beautiful Sandie. Loving the design, and gorgeous shade of blue!
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty with the lighter blue shade against the dark background. You love making one layers. I'm awful at it. I've made three today but I think they're all ending up in the trash bin. I will give it one other go tomorrow, so then we'll see if it's meant to be or not....
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, Sandie! The flower looks beautiful against the dark base and the design is your classic CAS style. Great to see you at both ATCAS and Uniko!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Fun, striking, bold and FABULOUS Sandie,
ReplyDeleteHow brilliant that it worked at Ink too and I'm thrilled you've played along at both Uniko and ATCAS. Thanks so Much! xx
So so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteStunning design - love the placement of the flower and the blues are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI knew you would rock this challenge when I saw it on Carol's blog!! This is amazing and I love the combo of the two shades of blue. How did you do the flower? Is it a stamp or did you paint it yourself? Its fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteWow, Sandie ... striking and stunning in equal measure! The soft blue is gorgeous against the bold navy ... simply lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in blue. What a fabulous one layer creation! I see that Nonni loved this as well! But what's not to love?! The beautiful bloom in all it's one layer glory and in those blues...wonderful card, Sandie. Just love it! Bev
ReplyDeleteYou do OLCs so well, Sandie! This is a gorgeous creation, so perfect for Nonni!! Thank you for joining the fun over at Uniko's Summer Challenge!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI bet Nonni loved this birthday card. It looks really artistic and non-traditional with the darker blue colours.
ReplyDeleteSandie, thank you so much for your sweet birthday card. It arrived in good time and I didn't open it until my birthday....it was hard to wait but hubby made me ;)
