Our DT have all created some fabulous cards to inspire you. Check them out here and then get creating-enjoy!

Artsy London!

A very happy Friday my friends,

Freshly Made Sketches are celebrating their 200th sketch this week. Naturally I wanted to join in the fun. If you need a little more to tempt you, check out all the sponsors they have here.

I find sketch challenges hard however this week was a very CAS sketch and as soon as I saw it I had an idea.

Here is my card, inspired by an arty picture of London I saw here.

To make this card I masked of the bottom part of my card with normal masking tape. I then used my 'Windsor and Newton' Water colour paint set directly onto the 'Bon Voyage' Clearly Besotted Stamp. I stamped this onto the water colour card, then removed the mask and held card upright so some of the paint dropped down-this is my attempt to be artsy!

This was a lot of fun to make and I really like how it turned out.

It is actually being given to a crafty friend today who I am hoping will also like it.

I will enter this into:

AAA cards -maskerade

Time Out Challenge #38

A very Happy Friday Eve to you all,

This week at Time Out Challenges we have our 'Home Sweet Home' challenge based on a photo to inspire you.

Here is our photo:

I love this photo and found it hard to get past the blue stripes but there is so much more here to inspire you-glasses, anchors, pops of red, wood grain, rope and I am sure you can pick out a lot more.

I went with the blue stripes and pops of red. I made this card for my hubby:

I also got the idea of the colour blocks from this card by Nonni. I loved her use of the strong blocks of colour and I am happy to say that this card arrived for me a few days after it inspired me to make my card today!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Anni. Anni is a very talented and inspiring crafter, take some time out to visit her blog here

Our DT have made some amazing cards based on this photo-take a look here and then kick back and take some TIME OUT to craft and join in the fun x

Celebrate today!

Hello All,

I am sorry for not visiting so many of you this week but I have not been feeling so well. However today I was browsing blogland and saw a few challenges that inspired me to craft-the best way to recover!

First my card using a sentiment from Stamplorations and a sparkle stamp from Visable Images

This card was inspired by Anita's card (see below) at Muse Card Club. I was taken by the turquoise/gold combo and the big black sentiment. I had actually die cut a gold glitter leaf for this but then saw the CAS sketch at Sovushka Slavia (see below) and changed direction!

I will also enter this into the 'Celebration' challenge at Less is More

Inkspirational #89

Hello there,

Time for our word prompt challenge at Inkspirational. Our word this week in:

I thought about this for a while and was going to go with ice cubes in cocktails or something similar as we are in the middle of Summer in Britain. However this sketch back in July at CAS(E) this sketch got me thinking in a different direction and here is what I created:

In Britain snow tends to melt very quickly!

All stamps are from Uniko.

Our Guest Designer this week is Susanne. I am sure many of you will know her blog Keep in Touch!. Take some time to pop over to her blog, she is super creative and we are so pleased she is joining us for this challenge.

As always our DT have come up with a variety of takes on our prompt word-have a look here and then join in the fun x

Christmas Muse take 2 and help please!

I am here quickly to re-share my CAS version of my Muse card for Christmas inspired by Kimberley. I did post this the other day here showing you how I got from a water coloured card to this CAS version. However I couldn't seem to work out how to add both cards to the link up. Every time I tried it just said that the link already existed and I was prevented from doing it. Can anyone help here?

So here is the CAS version so I can add it-I wanted to re-post it, as I do really prefer this version.

It is more 'me'..white space, simple stamping and linen impression plate-makes me happy.

Have a fun day x

Inspiration Journey today!

Yesterday I wanted to play along with the Christmas Muse card this week. This week there the card was by the very talented Kimberley. The card was not my normal style but I was in the mood for water colouring so decided to give it a go. I was mainly inspired by the water colour effect and the foliage in the left hand bottom square (see below). I came up with this:

I embossed the leaves and sentiment (from Happy Little stampers Mixed Christmas sentiments) and then water coloured. To be honest I am not happy with this card but I wanted to share with you how this card led me to the card below-which I really like and it makes me happy. This is what happened-I was looking at my water coloured card thinking I am not happy with this and then decided-why not just stamp this following the same design and adding some holly and a few gems. I did this and created this card, which I do like. So thank you Kimberley for inspiring me to make 2 Christmas cards!

I will enter both of these into Muse Christmas Visions and 52 Christmas Card Throwdown-green and red challenge.

I will enter the second into One Layer Christmas Card

More Butterflies!

There are quite a few challenges at the moment that are inspiring me to craft. I doubt I will get time to play along with them all. Today is a card I made that was inspired by combining 3 challenges.

I have again used my new Birthday Butterfly stamp from Happy Little Stampers. This time I embossed it on vellum-inspired by the 'Vellum' challenge at Just Us Girls. I then stamped it onto cork and fussy cut it out. I decided to do this after seeing the inspiration photo at Just Add Ink (see below)-I liked the earthy colours and textures in the photo. The lay out is from this week's CAS(E) this Sketch-I had forgotten I had this sweet embossing line. I will be using it more often as I think it is great for CAS designs.

Enjoy your day x

Butterfly Birthday.

A very happy weekend to you all,

Mr. Postie today delivered to me some new stamps designed by my very dear friend Kylie. For those of you that didn't know, Kylie has started her own line of Happy Little Stamps, check out the stamps here.

I was very excited to get stamping as soon as they arrived today and here is what I came up with:

I have been wanting to colour using my copics in the last few days. This is unusual for me and I am really am a 'stamp and go' crafter and have very few stamps that are good for colouring. However this stamp from Kylie's new set was perfect for a touch of colouring.

I used the colours from this week's challenge at CAS-Colour and Sketches. I will also enter this into the CAS masking challenge at Happy Little Stampers

Muse Card Club

Hello my crafty friends,

Today I am sharing my card for the Muse Card Club.

This week the card by Joan immediately made me think of making a Christmas card. Here is what I came up with:

I loved the crisp look of her card and the little bow. I stamped the bow on some scrap, coloured it and added WOS. I then fussy cut it out and added it to my card using a foam pad to give dimension.

All these stamps are from Winnie and Walter.

Another Christmas card done!

Time Out Challenges #37

Time to take some Time Out and craft at Time Out Challenges

This week is our 'Inspired by Words' challenge and we have these words for you:

'Friendship is Golden'

You can use any of these words or use the whole phrase as I have done here:

This card is very similar to one I made earlier in the year. The look here is more dramatic. Here I have used different colours, added more stars and used embossing. By changing a few things to one of your fav designs can make all the difference.

I used delicata gold ink for my background and black embossed the sentiment-one of my favs.

For this challenge we are joined by the inspiring and creative Cornelia. Her blog Stempel Spass is the most wonderful projects. Pop over there and take a browse, you will love it!

Also our team have yet again come up with a fabulous variety of ways to interpret this phrase. Check them out here and then get inky and join in the fun x

I will also enter this into the 'Anything Goes Challenge' at Addicted to Stamps and More

CASology Guest Designer

Hello All,

I am very excited that today I am the Guest Designer at CASology. I was honoured to be asked and then slightly worried that I would not have an idea of what to create when I got the cue word. Here it is:

I was lucky in that I immediately thought what was 'precious' to me and what popped into my head was 'Family'. Using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and this NBUS visable image stamp I made this card.

How will you interpret this word?

Pop over here and see what the DT have created and then join in the fun-can't wait to see what you come up with.
