god laughed and threw me a curve ball. *strike three*
couple thursday mornings ago, i was on the interstate heading towards Marietta to deliver some quilts to a client when i was ran off the road. i will preface by saying- I'M OKAY or will be with time....
shaken, not stirred |
long story short- my left collarbone is severely broken (no quilting AT ALL for me) with a good majority of bruised ribs and a blood vessel in my neck shows some trauma. so the last two weeks have had me on the couch cleaning off the DVR (mostly Big Bang Theory) in a gentle medicated stupor. *wheeee*
thank you for all the "Where are you?" emails..it's nice to know that i couldn't disappear without someone noticing :)
Holy cow! How scary! I'm glad you are OK. Everything else will wait.
ReplyDeleteI thought maybe you had decided to stay in Europe. So sorry about your accident. Glad to know that you will be ok eventually. Take care and listen to your doctors.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're okay....what a scary thing to happen. I hope they caught the person who ran you off the road! Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteOOOh... I'm so sorry to hear this. I do hope you heal quickly - saying prayers for you. Thank goodness you survived that wreck. Holy Cow are you lucky! So my co-worker just came back to work today after being off 4 months from a....wait for it...a broken collar bone. You are going to have to change your Keep Calm and Quilt On to "Keep Calm, Rest and Heal".
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness how scary it must have been for you. I'm so happy you are okay. Well as okay as you can be from something like that. One never knows what the day will bring. Fast and total healing to you Shannon
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your accident! I hope you're healing well and will be OK soon.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds and looks dreadful How awful for you. Thank goodness injuries were not any worse. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your accident and injury. Hope you heal quickly. Let us know when you are healed and ready for quilting.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you are okay Shannon and recovering, what a awful accident!
ReplyDeleteOh Shannon! I am glad you will be OK, but what an awful thing to go through! I suppose the other car that ran you off the road was nowhere to be seen after the accident?
ReplyDeleteThat is not a pretty sight. Take care of yourself and heal properly before starting back into the quilting. Now is the time to really plan out the Italy trip.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're okay! Sorry it happened and threw such a wrench (to coin a phrase) in all your plans. Maybe something good will yet come of it. Hope so. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are o k
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness girl! That was a close call. Take good care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteThank God you didn't sustain head injuries along with the rest of that list! Was this on the way home from the delivery? The quilts were not involved? That truck can be replaced but your time and artistry as well as that of the quilt makers cannot. Do let yourself have the time to recover from this. We will be patient right along with you. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteGosh I am so sorry, have had that happened to me as well, what a whirlwind it can be for sometime. Hang in there, glad you are above ground-lol
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, so glad you will mend! So very sorry it happened, but seeing the truck, looks like it saved your life and you got out of it lucky! So, thankful Barney was not with you, I am afraid he would not have fared nearly as well as you did. So going to miss your artistry, have a special quilt I was going to call you about. Will just have to wait! Please let me know if you need anything.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Edie Canales
OMG! You had so much luck. I hope you will be fine soon!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're okay after such a scary crash.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are OK - we were all worried about you. Take it easy, the quilts will still be there when you are feeling up to quilting.
ReplyDeleteShannon, so glad you are OK and your injuries heal quickly. That must have been so frightening.
ReplyDeleteTake care and rest up

Good thing you were driving a truck! Sending you lots of good vibes for a speedy recovery! Hope you are back to quilting soon!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Now I get it! I missed out because I was on vacation with only an I-Phone for communicating with the world. I am SO sorry for your accident, and the enforced "no quilting" rule. That's just so sad for you. Though, on the happy side, it's good to catch up on favorite TV shows! We love "Big Bang Theory" too. Lately we've been watching a BBC series called "Doc Martin." It's good for some chuckles. If it doesn't hurt too much to laugh, I recommend it. Take care of yourself. Bless you!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your accident! So glad you survived. My daughter rolled her truck a couple of months ago and managed to get out right before it caught on fire completely. She only had a few scratches and bruises. Stay well!
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes, Shannon! How did I miss this? I'm sure glad you're OK. Big Bang Theory is excellent convalescent company. :D Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy your applique now. A show quilt sounds cool!!
