The Aro Aro no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to generate and control vectorial arrows capable of manipulating motion and its properties, making them an Arrow Human (矢印人間, Yajirushi Ningen?, VIZ: "Arrow-Woman"). It was eaten by Gunko.[2]
Etymology[]
- "Aro" comes from Arō (アロー?), the Japanese pronunciation of "Arrow" in English.
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
The Aro Aro no Mi enables the user the generation of arrow-like strips from their body that they can freely control in a telekinetic manner. Those strips behave akin to floating bandages growing out of the user, who is capable of detaching them off and then directing their trajectory through a variety of hand gestures.

Gunko uses arrows to direct, augment and telegraph her attacks.
The fruit has a myriad of offensive uses. By binding the arrow strips around a target's limbs or neck and then applying a powerful contracting force, the user can deal crippling or even fatal damage through crushing pressure. The user also has the ability to form tridimensional stakes from those arrows, which can pierce enemies and pin them down to the ground. Furthermore, the fruit has potential in hand-to-hand combat by allowing the user to shape the arrows in the form of gigantic armor-like constructs, giving their limbs enough extra power and size to injure even a large and powerful giant.
The arrows have the additional ability to affect movement and its properties, such as acceleration, as well as form aerial pathways for the user to walk or skate over. By having their physical attacks follow the direction of the arrows that they set up, the user can apply extra velocity and momentum to them, considerably enhancing the force of impact. However, this also means that the user must visually telegraph the trajectory of the attacks through said arrows beforehand, giving an opponent a chance to react to their next move.
The user is also affected by the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
Usage[]
Gunko primarily uses this fruit for combat and torture, showing tremendous skill and variety with it. Her modus operandi involves wrapping targets with her arrows and constricting them with strong compressive force, delivering agonizing crushing pain to those caught by her ability. She usually does this when her demands are not met and she loses her patience, forcing her to employ more brutal methods.[1][2]

Gunko uses her arrows versatility to create a flying bird construct.
Gunko appears to have excellent close-combat skills, which she uses in tandem with her Devil Fruit. Because she can augment the power of her strikes through increased acceleration and large arrow constructs, Gunko is easily able to deal heavy damage to giant animals and people. Gunko can also employ her ability as a convenient means of transport, by constructing a bird-shaped platform for herself and other passengers to board and fly through the air.[3]
Trivia[]
- Gunko's usage of her powers are sometimes accompanied by black flames, similar to those associated with Imu and the Five Elders' abilities. It is unknown if this implies a connection between their powers, is a property of the Aro Aro no Mi, or is something else entirely.
