Gong-Oh is one of the high-ranking members of the Tiki Tak Tribe and a major antagonist in Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Profile[]

After the eruption of Donkey Kong Island's volcano, Gong-Oh and his brethren were freed from their imprisonment and proceeded to steal all of the island's bananas for their evil plot, including Donkey Kong's precious Banana Hoard. Gong-Oh itself proceeded to take over the Ruins region of the island and hypnotize that area's wildlife, which it later used to try and stop DK after the latter defeated its siblings, Kalimba and the Maracas, who were in control of the island's jungles and beaches.

After the heroic ape defeated all of Gong-Oh's hypnotised minions and traversed through the many obstacles of the Ruins, he finally made it to the Tiki's base of operations ready to defeat it. However, Gong-Oh had something else in mind. It took control of a newly hatched giant bird named Stu and used it to fight DK. After a long battle, Stu was defeated and freed from Gong-Oh's control, and with a powerful punch, DK sent Gong-Oh high into the sky.

The evil Tiki later appeared with its other eight siblings during the final boss fight turning into one of Tiki Tong's hands to fight DK. Despite this, though, it was destroyed during battle.
