"A Togepi Mirage!" is episode 45 of Pokémon the Series: Ruby and Sapphire, and the 321st overall episode of Pokémon the Series. It was first broadcast in Japan on October 2, 2003 and in the United States on October 2, 2004. In this episode, Misty's Togepi evolved into Togetic to save the other Togepi from Colonel Hansen. In the end, Misty leaves Togetic in the Mirage Kingdom.
Plot[]
Colonel Hansen, Team Rocket, Ash Ketchum and the gang are amazed when they see Togepi's amazing power in defending them. After escaping, Togepi takes the gang to a dimension populated by unhappy Togepi, which has caused the land to grow weak. However, when Misty's Togepi is captured by Colonel Hansen in order for him to rule the Mirage Kingdom, it leads to a confrontation, during which Togepi evolves into Togetic to save the other Togepi. At the end, Misty leaves Togetic in the Mirage Kingdom and returns to Cerulean City.

- As with the previous episode, Japanese voice actresses for Ash Ketchum's first three female traveling companions are featured in this episode and the previous one; Mayumi Iizuka and Kaori. voice Misty and May, respectively; and Megumi Toyoguchi, who voices Princess Sara in this episode, went on to play Dawn in the next anime series, Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl.
- This episode marks the final time that one of Misty's Pokémon has evolved.
- With the exception of Porygon2 (which wouldn't appear until years later in Pokémon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice, due to the incident involving its pre-evolution), as of this episode, every second generation Pokémon has appeared in the anime.
