Back in May of 2011 I was lucky enough to be part of a fun little project called One Pattern Seven Bloggers, where myself and 6 other fabulous sewing bloggers all made a dress from the same pattern. I'm very excited to be able to share with you today that we have decided to repeat the project, with the same group of 7 bloggers and a different pattern.


I'm very excited about this project, as in addition to the fact that my last one pattern seven bloggers dress was a massive success and is still in heavy rotation in my wardrobe, it's been great to be working on a project with such inspiring ladies once again.

This post is well overdue, I actually recieved this prize back in December, I've just been tragically unorganised lately! Anyway, better late than never, right?

I was the lucky recipient of one of the Wellington Pattern Pyramid Parcels, one from Kat of Modern Vintage Cupcakes infact. My beautifully wrapped parcel (that I was too excited to open than take a picture of, whoops!) contained the following patterns:


It took me a while to decide which pattern to keep, as quite a few of them have serious potential (if you look past the styling for some of them). It came down between the two on the left for me, but I've decided to keep the top left pattern (although find the concept of a pattern for a scarf mildly hillarious).

Despite it not being a requirement, I have decided to replenish the pyramid with another pattern or two, so now the selection looks like this:


And part of the rules, says I need to pass them on to another lucky blogger! The only condition is that you take one, and giveaway the rest yourself. Adding in any extras is completely optional. I'm willing to send the parcel anywhere that Australia Post lets me.

When I posted about my blogiversary earlier in the month I mentioned that I had something exciting to share, which I can now reveal. I will be hosting a giveaway to celebrate my three years of blogging, as I'd like to say thanks to everyone that reads and the friendly/helpful/amusing comments that you leave, it certainly is an incentive to continue sharing what I've been working on.

I'm excited to announce that I will have two prizes for my giveaway - since my creations are of both the garment sewing and quilting variety, I thought it would be nice to be able to give away something from either.

For the garment sewers among you, since I already shared with you how much I love this pattern, I am offering a copy of the Thurlow Trousers/Shorts pattern from Sewaholic patterns...


I wholeheartedly recommend this pattern, even if (especially if) the idea of making trousers/shorts is daunting to you - it's a great pattern with fantastic instructions.

And for the quilters among you, I am offering this bundle of 5 fat quarters of "oval elements" fabric...


It's really beautiful fabric, lovely and soft with such pretty colours. I always have a look and a stroke at the basket of these fat quarters when I go to GJs. I figure they'd look great in a quilt together or be a fantastic addition to a stash.
