Coming up Roses

Gooood morning!!

Popping in with a quick post this morning!

I created this card using WPlus9 Coming Up Roses. It's a two step stamping set (say that three times fast!) and it's so, so easy to use.

I stamped the roses using a mixture of Memento ink and Versamagic chalk ink and I'm pretty happy with the colour combos I managed to achieve this time!

I added a stamped sentiment from MFT - More Essential Sentiments and die cut everything using MFT - Blueprints 24

I added a couple lilac brads and smooshed everything together.

Job done. Thank you for stopping by today! :) xx

Feathery Thanks

Good morning you wonderful lot!

I'm quickly popping in to share this card with you all. It's a mash up of a few companies!

I adore these stamps! They're so cute, and they're of such high quality, they stamp beautifully.

Any questions, please just ask. I must dash, it's almost bedtime here! The joy of scheduled posts! xx

Birthday Wishes

Moooorning peoples! :)

Time for some inspiration for My Mum's Craft Shop.

Apologies for the quality of the photo, I took it on my phone and it's a little grainy.

I used a combo of Altenew and WPlus9.

WPlus9 - Happy Trio Dies

I had a blast stamping these pretty flowers out! I really need to get some new ink colours to try some new combos, but for now, I really love those orange flowers!

I die cut a happy from the cardstock I had stamped with the flowers and layered it up to create a 3D effect. I then stamped birthday wishes from the coordinating stamp set from WPlus9 to finish up the card. I hope you likey! :) xx

You are too kind!

Mooonday!!

Good morning wonderful people!

I've got another make to share with you all today. This time it's an Avery Elle and MFT mash up!

I layered the stitched panel onto a vellum die cut, cut with Blueprints 20. I can't tear myself away from these dies at the moment!

Thanks for stopping by today. xo

Yooohoo! Happy Hump Day!!

I created this card for My Mum's Craft Shop.

I used Paper Smooches - Spectrum for the entire card.

I stamped and coloured on Neenah cardstock, added a yellow mat, and bam. Done.

I hope you like this CAS card. Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop Blog for DAILY inspiration! :) xx

Little Miss Muffet Stamps Debut

Good morning you gorgeous lot! Can I just thank you all for the lovely comments you have all left me on my recent posts! :) It means an awful lot to me that you take the time out to stop by my blog and read my waffle. I hope my posts and projects inspire you all.

Today marks a very exciting day for me! Can I get a *oOoooOoo*
I've been scouted by the ridiculously talented Faye to guest for Little Miss Muffet Stamps for the month of September. Can I get a *yaaaaay* ;)

This is my first card for Inspiration Thursday!

I used the adorable Jr. Hatter Abigail

I coloured her with my ProMarkers, but please don't ask me which colours I used. I wish I knew. I LOVE the colour of her hat, it matches the papers from Echo Park We Are Family collection perfectly but I never made of note of what I used. Not to worry. It's all about experimenting.

I added a sentiment from MFT which I stamped and heat embossed. I then raided my paper flowers box, as I knew I had some delicious lime green bad boys left to use up. I then die cut some flowers from pink cardstock and layered them up.

As always I finished off with some brads, buttons and sequins. Job done.

I'm over the moon to be taking part in the LMMS shenanigans this month. Stay tuned for more LMMS projects from me.

Be sure to stop by the Little Miss Muffet Stamps BLOG to check out the other AWESOME DT designs.

Welcome, Little One.

A nip and a punch for the first of the month boys and girls. I can't quite believe it's September, but it is. It's got me thinking that I really need to pull my finger out and get cracking with my Christmas cards. As of yet I've made about 5, which just isn't good enough! Hah.

Anywho, it's time for a new challenge over at My Mum's Craft Shop
We wanna see those punches and dies being put to good use!

I began with an adorable bunny from Mama Elephant Honey Bunny
I coloured her up with my Warm Greys to create a little white bunny.
I then cut her out using the co-coordinating dies.

I then decided to sit the little bunny on a bed of flowers, and the Laurels set from Avery Elle was perfect for this. I began by die cutting a bunch of the flowers and four of the leaf fronds with the coordinating dies before stamping in Memento Bamboo Leaves, Spearmint, Cotton Candy and Grout Grey Hybrid Inks from MFT.

I finished the card by layering the design on top of a slice of paper from Echo Park - We Are Family, which I had punched using the Tonic Boot Punch - Edger 2 before adhering everything to the cardbase and stamping a sentiment using Lawn Fawn - Milo's ABCS.

Valentine's Tia

Today I'm back with ya to share a Some Odd Girl project (bet'cha thought it was gonna be another Tiddly Inks creation, didn't ya) that was part of an order for a lovely newbie over at my page.

I wanted to use up some more of an older My Mind's Eye paper pack, and the colours the lady was after made this the perfect match. It let me practice my pastel colouring a little more too. Light pink, lilac with a touch of grey. Perfect.

I wanted to make sure that the sentiment stood out, so I stamped it in a dark grey onto a cream coloured patterned paper from the MME pack. I then cut each line with my trimmer and adhered them to the card using silicone glue at slightly jaunty angles.

I added a large 2 that I cut on my cameo, a chunky twill stripe bow, some Petal Lu goodness, a bunch of Wild Orchid Craft rhinestone brads, Doodlebug brads and sequins, and some buttons from my stash.

I LOVE that little flower paper from MME. It was the last sheet I had.. and would ya looka' that!! I used it up. ;) I hope you likey. xo

Thanks!

Morning guys, I'm back again today to share some inspiration using products which can be found at My Mum's Craft Shop.

This is a super simple card from me using only one stamp set from Paper Smooches - Bold Buzzwords.

I used Onyx Black Versafine to stamp the sentiment and I used
Memento - Tangelo
Memento - Pear Tart
to stamp the different sized stars.

It started off by just being a couple clusters of stars, but I couldn't stop and ended up creating a pattern across the whole card. I hope you like my super CAS one layer card!! That's all from me today.

Be sure to stop by the MMCS Blog each day to gather your inspiration from the awesome DT! xx

Spots & Stripes

Morning guys! :) Another day, another card.

This time I'm bringing you guys some inspiration using products available at My Mum's Craft Shop! This week the DT girls are showing off their creations that include spots and stripes! Very exciting.

I used a stamp set from Whimsy Stamps - Happy Hello. I LOVE this set. So many cute little motifs. I've been using this set to decorate my planner more than anything - this is the first card I've created with this set.

I know what you're thinking.. but where's the diagonal stripes?! YOU LOVE DIAGONAL STRIPES!

Ohhh, against the grain I go! ;)

*NEW* Clearly Whimsy Stamps - Happy Hello

I used the larger of the two arrow strips and created a striped pattern towards the bottom of the card using Blue Raspberry Hybrid Ink and Pear Tart Memento. I then added three little orange dots and some stars using Tangelo Memento ink.

I then stamped the large hello in Onyx Black Versfine ink and added a spritz of Dandelion Fireworks to finish off this rather simple card. Looking back, I wish I'd created the whole design on the card base to create a one layer card. Never mind.

I hope you can stop by the MMCS Blog throughout the week to catch up with the other work from the DT girls. Who doesn't love spots and stripes?! xo

Watt's Up?

Morning guys! Can you even believe we're almost halfway through June?

Me neither! 2014 is going at super sonic speed.

Today I thought I'd share a SUPER simple card with you all using a set from My Favorite Things that I absolutely fell in love with the moment I seen it!

and matching dies

I die cut the bulb itself from white cardstock and inked the edges with Summer Sky Memento ink so it didn't look so flat. I then die cut the heart element using some ruby red cardstock. I love how cute it is!

I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set using Onyx Black Versafine ink straight onto my patterned paper from Bo Bunny - Modern Miss collection

A super clean and simple card, perfect for loads of occasions.

Be sure to stop by the blog regularly to check out inspirational makes from our awesome design team! :) xo

Blue Wedding Challenge

Morning guys! :) Another week DONE - we can tick that one off! ;) Even better news is.. I'm off work next week. Yipppeee!! Another full crafty week ahead of me. I cannot WAIT!

I know what you're thinking.. "Boy, oh boy. Weren't you just off?!" I was. You're right.. but I gotta get my holiberries in at work before BOOM.. all the weeks are gone. I don't think I'm off again til August, so you can all rest assured that I will be grafting 'til then! ;)

Onwards.

Here's my latest WEDDING COMMISSION from a lovely lady who is slowly (I hope) becoming a regular. This is the second card she has ordered from me and from what she told me, she was super pleased with it. That's always what I like to hear - it's what I do this for. I hope the married couple love it too.

I used my Cameo to create the names for the centre piece of this card. I then created a little Paper Smooches banner to stamp the date. I fussy cut that and added it to the bottom of the card.

For a little decoration I added some My Favorite Things - Blooming Roses in shades of blue, and I die cut them using the Rose Bouquet Dies. I added the standard froofroo of sequins, pearls and doodads.

LOVE! :) I hope you do too. Thank you for stopping by. HAPPY SUNDAY. xo

Ellie says HI!

I'm back again! I knowww, my posts are like buses. My apologies.

If you're looking for my Passion for ProMarkers post, click HERE to be taken there.

This time I'm here to share some My Mum's Craft Shop inspiration with you all. This week Kitty wanted us to show off Characters, and it appears Tiddly Inks is SUPER popular with us DT girls, just check out the posts from previous days.

I used the adorable Ellie Says Hi from Tiddly Inks
I teamed her up with some papers from My Minds Eye - Now and Then Dorothy
For some added froofroo I used some MMCS £1 Embellishment packs:

You may not be able to see too well but I also added some white embossing paste the the corners of the navy patterned paper using a stencil from My Favorite Things - Spring Flowers. I love the added texture that it creates, although it's hard to pick up in the pictures.

I also added some AB white sequins I picked up from The Yorkshire Trading Company on Saturday, along with some pink half pearls and some pink liquid pearls. I heat embossed the sentiment onto some Kraft cardstock using some delicious Memento Luxe inks and clear embossing powder. I also added some Rose Bud Fireworks to the Kraft cardstock matt too.

That's about all from me, for the rest of the day at least. I bet you'll be glad of that! ;) Back soon with more papery goodness. Loves. xo

You're a Lifesaver

Happy Hump Day!!

I'm back with some more inspiration using products from My Mum's Craft Shop today!! :)

Sit back and enjoy this incredibly short blog post!

So I used some Neenah Solar White cardstock.
A bunch of inks - Memento Dew Drops and Versafine
.. and THIS awesome Wicked Nauticool stamp set from Paper Smooches,

I mean.. come on?! Cool no?!

I did challenge myself to use no patterned paper, but I couldn't help myself.. and these Paper Smooches sets lend them so well to paper piecing. I used an older My Minds Eye set with loads of scraps left.

Be sure to stop by the blog each day for more inspiration! :) xo

Woodgrain Love

Hey guys! It's Wednesday.. again!
I've had a very dramatic weekend, so I was pleased that I had a few cards already made that I had stock piled on my week off work.

Friday night I fell off my push bike.. I stupidly wasn't wearing a helmet. So instead of just letting my skull flop to the tarmac.. I stuck my elbow out. A swift trip to A+E it was confirmed that it was just terrible bruising. Some strong Iburprogen, and a bag of frozen peas later.. I think I'm back on track.

I learnt from my mistake, and went out the next day to buy a new helmet and hi-viz. Job done. :) Trouble is, I always gotta learn the hard way!!

I DIGRESS!! It's free week over at My Mum's Craft Shop this week. So I thought I'd take advantage and whip up a CAS card using some of my favourites.

I took HUGE inspiration from THIS card that was posted on the Neat & Tangled blog. Loveeeee this. Straight away I knew I wanted to try this out with a woodgrain pattern.

My Favorite Things - Western Backgrounds
Avery Elle - Petals and Stems dies

I added a sprinkling of rhinestones and sequins from my stash. Job done! Can't wait to try this technique out a little more.

Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop blog each day for inspiration from the awesome sauce design team! That's all from me for today. xo

Embossing at PFP

Hello guys! It's great to be back again to provide another dose of inspiration for the new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers this week!! I never really mention it, but I'm so honoured to be a part of this team. Not only is boss lady Denise awesome, but my teamies are super talented too!!

I see more and more crafters turning to the dark side each and every week, and I'm proud to say that each and every one of us over at Passion for ProMarkers are still very much in love with our chosen medium.

THE HUMBLE PROMARKER

So enough of all the soft talk.. and onto the card. The theme this week is..

EMBOSSING

You could use your trusty old embossing folders, blast your card with a little heat for some traditional embossing or go all out and modern with some embossing paste! The choice is entirely your own.

I chose to use one of my favourite embossing folders (which is actually a Basic Grey Christmas design from Sizzix) and some heat embossing on my sentiment (which wouldn't show up no matter how many times I retook the photo - so you'll have to take my word for it! ;)

ProMarkers and FlexMarkers
Sentiment - Sophie's Sentiments Lawn Fawn
Cardstock - Neenah, Stampin' Up!, Papercuts
Patterned paper - Teresa Collins
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Luxe Rose Bud
The Ribbon Girl
Doodlebug brads
Liquid Pearls
Dew Drops
clear embossing powder
Memory Box die
Sizzix embossing folder
doily and corners cut on Cameo

How are you guys liking this little list set up?

Concise with less waffle - my fingers are a fan, and I manage to get a blog post done in half the time.. surprisingly! LOL!

Thank you for stopping by today guys. Be sure to visit the Passion for ProMarkers blog to get even more inspired by the lovely ladies and join in with us. xo

For You

I'm back today with some more inspiration for you guys using the Art Pads from Lili of the Valley.

I thought I would really struggle matching papers up with these, but it's actually easier than my OCD first thought.

This time round I used the gorgeous dog and bunny hugging.

I dug out some older papers from Teresa Collins that I hadn't even broken into yet *slaps hands* and went to work. I LOVE that grey floral paper, and the B side of that was this coral coloured hexagon pattern so I just had to use the two sides together.

Lili of the Valley Art Pad - Set 2 Jack, Patch and Puss
Teresa Collins paper pack
Avery Elle Oh Happy Day sentiment
Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink
Xcut dies
Woodware brads
Organza ribbon from The Ribbon Girl
Liquid Pearls and rhinestones from my stash

Jobs a good'n. xo

Nauti-cool

Hello guys! :) Hopefully by the time this post goes live I will have been up for a good couple hours crafting away in the gorgeous morning light that graces my room on these early spring mornings!

I can't believe I forgot to share these cards with you when I made them back at the beginning of February.

I used the Wicked Nauticool stamp set from Lawn Fawn and the matching Nauticool dies. So fun.

I wanted to keep the cards pretty quick and simple with just a little stamping, die cutting and paper piecing.

I added some silver embossing to the anchor and chain on the second card, and a touch of red with the little heart.

These sets from Lawn Fawn with their quirky sentiments always make me smile. Sometimes a 'hello there' is just a little too boring!

Happy Tuesday guys, thank you for stopping by. xo

Sleepy Cat

Good evening guys! :)

Sorry this post is going up a day late. I literally wasted the whole day yesterday just sleeping and cabbaging watching TV, I had no energy. So today I have ran around like a headless chicken and I've managed to squeeze this card in for the new monthly challenge over at My Mum's Craft Shop.

SPRING OR EASTER

This is one of the gorgeous cats from Time for Tea Designs February release. I just had to colour this cutie up to look like Shadow Cat. I took a lot of inspiration from the amazeballs Faye, and added her to a grass digi from Make it Crafty.

Now onto those delicious papers. Ohhhhh. They're some newbies from My Minds Eye Now and Then - Dorothy *LOVE*. I've used a MFT Postage Edge stamp die to create some interest above the sentiment. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Mother's Day and I've stamped it in some new Grey Flannel Memento Luxe Ink. Yum! :) Good job craft supplies aren't edible, I'd gobble the lot up.

Of course, as a finishing touch I just had to add some Fireworks, this time in Summer Sky!

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Crafty Calendar - Animal Antics
- Hiding in my Craft Room - Spring Colours
- The Doodle Garden - Anything Goes

Be sure to stop by the My Mum's Craft Shop BLOG and have a spy at the gorgeous Spring/Easter cards the girls have whipped up to inspire ya this month.

.. oh, and be sure to stop by tomorrow when I will *hopefully* have a card with a new image from the BRAND NEW Time for Tea Designs release for March! That's if I have any energy left tonight. :) xo

Love You

.. so my brain kinda works like this.

If at first something isn't really inspiring me - I leave it out on my desk, so it doesn't get lost at the bottom of a drawer. Then there is a gradual progression towards.. LOVING that product. I find.. if I leave it out for long enough.. one day.. BOOM some inspiration will hit me and I won't wanna stop.

Until I need the toilet. Or get thirsty.

That's kinda what happened with me and some older MFT sets over the weekend.

This is one of the more simple cards I created with
MFT Blooming Roses stamp set and matching

I used four things to create this card (apart from the essential tools, of course!):
cardstock, stamps, ink and an acrylic block. Couldn't get more stripped back than that!
You could easily get a bunch of these going on a production line and have a tonne made up in no time!

To finish off this card, I used a sentiment from Avery Elle - Oh Happy Day. LOVE that font. Like. LOVE! When I grow up, I wanna be able to write like that! LOL!

That's it for today! Thank you for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with.. who knows? Something.. another card at least! :) xo
