Took a Card Class

It's been a long  time since I took a crafting class.
Was a lot of fun, and I got to meet a few new friends.

Project: Reuseable Cards

I have not taken the time to create cards in a while,
but saw these cool "reuseable" cards and had to give it a try.

They have a clear acetate pocket, so that you can see what is written on the index card

You  can replace that inner card and reuse the outside pocket card

Then I created a silhouette cameo file,  so that I can easily make these cards again & again.

Cards: Graduation

This was created with a Stamping Up punch.
The Owls were then chalked.
The Caps are from Cricut: Everyday Paperdolls.
I don't know where I got the stamp from.

Card: Flower Hair Bow Card

The flower on this card is a hair bow.
Not sure how I am gonna finish the card though.
Think I will wait to finish it, when I decide on the occassion it will be given for.

Here is the Youtube video to show you how to make the flower.

Weekly Project: Shirt Card

. Start with a 6x12 sheet fo B&T

2. Turn it upside down (pattern side down).

3. Fold in half vertically.

4. Unfold.

5. Cupboard Fold: fold each side in to the middle crease line.

6. Unfold.

7. Turn the top (short) end down about 1/4". And again.

8. Unfold.

9. Fold the bottom end (without 1/4" fold lines) up 4" (1/3 of the long length).

10. Turn over.

11. Cupboard Fold in the sides along previous score line.

12. Eye ball a line from the bottom corner, diagonally to the folded in corner of the piece of paper. Fold the top layer on each side out to the side of the shirt to form the sleeve.

13. Fold 1/4" BACK on the first crease line to form the collar. (You will still see the 2nd crease line.) (side view)

14. Fold in each side, matching the top, folded corner of the collar to the intersection of the 2nd score line and the center line/opening. This give you the correct angle for this step.

15. Fold the bottom edge up and tuck the folded edge under the collar.

DONE!!

This isn't a bad size, mine measures 4" high x 5.25" and it's easy to cut (6x12).

But for a little bit smaller shirt (better IMO for standard card) us a piece of B&T 5.5" x 11" and fold up 3.667" in step 9.
