So I restarted Weight Watchers today.

I began WW in January of 2008 at 220 lbs, with a goal of 155. Which would put me at a BMI of 25%. Just sitting on the fence of being healthy vs over wieght, but my Doc thought that was a good goal to start with.

October 2008:  I continued with the program until I reach 180 pounds, and then I just fizzled out. No interest, no energy. Working a lot of hours, and trying to take care of everyone but myself. I looked better but was still overweight and not really happy with how I looked, but didn't really care enough to continue to make the changes needed.

April 9, 2009: I got on the scale at the Doc's office, I was at 180.5 pounds, in 7 months, I had only gained 0.5 pounds. But I looked like I weighed alot more. I also felt older and dragged out. So I made a promise to myself, to dedicate at least an hour a day to myself. Though I have to work hard at learning to say "no", I am a much happier person.

May of 2010:  I met and surpassed my goal, reaching 145 pounds.   It felt good, getting on the plane to Germany to see Stephan, knowing the success i had achieved.

September 5, 2020:

I have gained back 85 pounds since I made my goal weight of 155, almost 10 years ago.

I didn't realize it, just kinda snuck up on me until I saw pictures of me sitting on the couch.

As I looked at the photo, I realized how much I had gained and it kinda smacked me in the face.

Lots of things I want to do in the next year and i would love to be at least 50 plus pounds lighter.
One of which is going to the beach next year.

The Battle of the Bulge begins again.

Weight Watchers has been the most successful program for me.
Mostly because I can still eat what I want but just have to have it in the appropriate portion size.
And I think that is the biggest issue for me.  portion control.
I want what I want, when I want it.

I also enjoy fresh fruits and veggies.
Just need to put that at the front of the fridge and not the back.
Go back to not keeping sweets readily available.
The first 3 weeks is usually the hardest for me.

So we shall see where it leads.

Planner Creativity - learning to create my own stickers and I might just save some $$

I am going to try and create my own weekly stickers for my planner.

But I will still be using some of the ones that  I have previously purchased but I know that there are certain stickers I will always purchase as they are perfect for what I need.

I used the Gootzie Project Weekly Days and Weekend Banner .
Also used the weekly intentions sidebar from Chelsea Brown Designs
Both of these shops are on Etsy.

 01/01/2020 thru 01/05/2020 - Passion Planner (Medium)

All of the other stickers/designs were made by me with the help of my Silhouette Cameo and the Silhouette School tutorials on sticker making.

Still a work in progress....

Change of Mindset

Not sure who this picture belongs too, but I really like the message.

I really like when ....

I can use my tools for more than one crafting genre.  Today, I used by easy angle quilting ruler to create the angled pockets in the album I was working on.

The grid lines makes it easy to line up, and to recreate the same dimensions again for the opposite side.

Project: It's a New Bow Season!!

A new Spirit Season (Poms and Cheer) so time to start working on new bow designs.

Tried a new technique where you cut HTV using a rhinestone template
and then iron it onto a ribbon base.
Deciding what color base ribbon to use.
See how the different base colors effect the overall design.

Press the HTV onto the ribbon base and then form your bows.

Project: Reuseable Cards

I have not taken the time to create cards in a while,
but saw these cool "reuseable" cards and had to give it a try.

They have a clear acetate pocket, so that you can see what is written on the index card

You  can replace that inner card and reuse the outside pocket card

Then I created a silhouette cameo file,  so that I can easily make these cards again & again.

Crafting Night with a Friend

Spent an evening making shirts for a friend and a few of her friends.

Project: 2015 Graduation Cap for NHS

This will be the second year that I have been requested to create the 2015 Grad Cap for one of our local High Schools.   This year it was a struggle, as the School is changing logos and I needed something that would work with whatever the new design is going to be.  Hope they like it.

Above are the designs I was looking at, but the "N" design did not transition well to the cap.
Below is the final product.

This is the one it will hang next too.
