Hi Everyone,

As promised here is a little something I pickedup from Sample Spree just to give away for you all.

Carolyn Friedlanders Doe Charm Pack. All you have to do is tell me who you would most like to meet if you were able to come to Quilt Market. The giveaway is open until next Friday 10/31

Here is a gratuitous Sample Spree Shot of all of our loot...

Yes, you do spy all of Cotton & Steel and Katy Jones' Priory Square.... and Lotta Jansdotter's Follie...  and Jessica Levitt's Cascade and... :)

Happy Monday...

Monday, March 10, 2014
We had a bit of a Fabric Avalanche on Friday but we were smack dab in the middle of a Shop Hop and I didn't get a chance to show you. I am so tired from the shop hop but it was fun!

Here are the pretties!

Mormor by Lotta Jansdotter I adore the bright but sophisticated colors in this. I find them so easy on the eyes and easy to use. See below for a picture from a customer...

Our customer Lucy was in on the first day of the Shop Hop and she bought some Pearl Bracelets, Mochi Dots and some Mormor... she made this adorable bag by Friday to use on the rest of her hop.

Sylvia Lotta's other collection is also here. I am having a good time with those Suvi sprouts :)

We have Petal Pinwheels Tile Pile prints. I ordered the whole collection but these came first so I made fun little bundles out of them. This is the collection that the Modern Quilt Guild is doing a challenge with.

And last but not least Atomic Tabbys I fell in love with the mid-century vibe of these and couldn't resist them...

I think my new favorite basic is that tiny guitar pick print.

Wednesday this arrives... Foxfield by Tula Pink.... so stay tuned.

Quilt Market... Warning Many Photos Ahead

Tuesday, October 29, 2013
Wow what a whirlwind.... I had so many appointments to go to that I literally only had 3 hrs to walk the floor. I saw a lot of lovelies, and brought a lot of them home, the rest will be arriving over the next 6 months or so. Do you believe they are showing Christmas 2014 already? Eeep!

First of all let me brag on my friends...

Sally (our lovely hostess for the weekend) made this gorgeous quilt in 3 days for Marcia Derse's booth at Windham:

Here is Miss Brooke with Ann Kelle... AKA Kelle Boyd and the quilt she made for her booth... so many things in the booth were made by Brooke that the mind boggles... Can you tell Brooke isn't having any fun at all here **wink Sorry for the poor lighting...

Jen Kingwell is my hero! Here are two of the patterns I picked up at Market... the rest are being shipped...

I will have them up on the website today or tomorrow.

Miss Adorable Vanessa... now you can see how huge that Sewing Machine quilt is... we are so making this!!

Miss Lizzy in her Catnap dress and with her Pearl Bracelet Nail polish (which will be in the shop in just a few days).

Carolyn Friedlander's Botanics... if you loved Architextures don't miss this one.

and one more for good measure

Lotta Jansdotter with Mormor and Sylvia

and here is a quilt made with them

Heather Bailey's Lottie Da booth that one first place for best single booth

Tula Pink's Fox Field

lots of pics since I went to her schoolhouse

Of course what would a Market blog post be without a picture of the Sample Spree Haul... or two... yes, this all came home with me:

Botanics and Catnap and a little older Art Gallery for a friend

Clockwise from top left Storybook by Kate & Birdie Paper Co., Color Me Happy by V & Co., Daydreams by Kate Spain, Sphere by Zen Chic, Mormor and Sylvia by Lotta Jansdotter.

If you want to see all of the pictures check out my instagram feed @intrepidthread (hint there might be a little contest giveaway on there later today)

Tomorrow ... selfies with friends.

Glimma is here...

Thursday, April 11, 2013
Hi Everyone,

This has been a hectic week. I had to rely on someone else to open the shop all week because I had to take my daughter (who is home schooled) to STAR testing. We do this every year, meet with the rest of her charter school to do the standardized tests that the state requires. I usually get a lot of binding done while I sit and wait LOL... If you don't know me in person you might not realize what a control freak I am but... let's just say relinquishing control of the shop for a few hours every morning this week hasn't been easy. Add to that some family things and I gotta say I am a little wiped out. But here is a ray of sunshine...

Glimma

Glimma Canvas
I wasn't sure what to expect with the canvas but I love it! I can't wait to make bags out of it. So cool!

Talk soon,Julie

Congrats Tamie I will be emailing you in a moment for your particulars :)

So excited to tell you about a new line that I just ordered (will have it on the coming soon page by Sunday night) it is called Echo it is by Lotta Jansdotter I saw it on Ashley at Film In The Fridge's (seriously go look at her pictures) blog a week or two ago and just fell in love with it. The preview pics don't do it justice at all (that is why you have to go look at Ashley's) but here are a few of them:

So cannot wait for it to come in November... le sigh.

I have a new friend her name is Rae and she and her mother own a little company called ARMOMMY you can find them here. They have some super fun patterns and accessories. Here are just a few:

They are allowing me to give away a 20% off coupon in my next newsletter (you also get it if you make a purchase with me) So sweet of them. In the mean time go over and like them on Facebook (tell them I sent you) for a free tutorial download of this:
