September Release!

Hello Everyone!!  Today I have a personalised slimline card made for a friend of my daughter.  It's such an easy card to make but makes a big impact!

I've used a cream base die cut with the Slimline Card Base Die and then cut another piece of cream with the new Slimline Bubbles Die.  I like the tone on tone effect and I have to say that I LOVE how easy card comes out of such a detailed die!!  Honestly all those little dots just fall out - happy days!  Next I've cut some Festive Fall Slimline paper with the also new Slimline Pierced Frame die.  The Pierced Frame and Bubbles die cuts are exactly the same size so nice and easy to line up.  With the paper that's left from the inside of the Pierced Fame, I've lined up the letters E, L (x2) and A and die cut and embossed them and then popped each one up on X-press It Foam Tape.  Next I've die cut a couple of butterflies using the solid paper from Festive Fall and the Butterfly Trio Dies.  I've airbrushed them with Black 100 Copic while still in the die and then also popped them up on foam tape.

Stamps - NONE
Ink - NONE
Paper - Divinity Designs Festive Fall, Cream
Accessories - Divinity Designs Dies: Slimline Card Base, Slimline Pierced Frame, Slimline Bubbles, Butterfly Trio, Letters E, L, A; X-press It Foam Tape, Copic Airbrush and 100 Copic Marker.

Friendship Blessings

Hello Everyone!  It's time for a brand new release from Divinity Designs!  If you love Autumn/Fall, Butterflies, Slimline Cards and Friendship themed stamps - then this release is calling your name!  For my above card, I've used the new Slimline Pierced Frame Die, Slimline Bubbles Background Die, Butterfly Layering Combo, Festive Fall Paper Pad and Whole Bunch Stamp Set!

To create this card, I've cut the blue card base with the Slimline Card Base Die, then added a layer of white cut with the Slimline Bubbles Background Die and topped with Festive Fall Paper die cut with Slimline Pierced Frame Die.  I've die cut some leaves using Rose Leaves Dies, airbrushed the veins and then sponged some Peanut Brittle ink on them.  I've created the butterfly using the Butterfly Layering Combo to cut layers of yellow, blue and black.  The Butterfly Layering Combo die set does come with a backing die to create a four layer butterfly - but for this card I decided to leave it at three so you can see through the 'spots'.  To finish I've stamped the sentiment from Whole Bunch onto white card, die cut with Pennant Flags and sponged a little Cantaloupe ink and then popped up on X-press It Foam Tape.

Stamps - Whole Bunch (Divinity Designs)
Ink - Versafine Vintage Sepia, Memento Cantaloupe
Paper - Divinity Designs Festive Fall, Blue, White, Yellow, Black, Green
Accessories - Divinity Designs Dies: Slimline Card Base, Slimline Pierced Frame, Slimline Bubbles, Butterfly Layering Combo, Rose Leaves, Pennant Flags; X-press It Foam Tape

For my second card I've used another new die - the Slimline Rounded Window Die.  This time I've gone the Full Autumn theme!  I've used the Slimline Card Base Die to cut the kraft card base and then used two different papers from Festive Fall Paper Pad and the brand new Slimline Rounded Window Die to create the card front.  I've then created the butterflies using the Butterfly Layering Combo die set and the solid colour papers from the paper pad with a black card base, glued them all together and popped up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've stamped the sentiment from Whole Bunch onto cream card, die cut with Vintage Labels 2 and sponged a little Wild Honey ink while still in the die and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape.

Stamps - Whole Bunch (Divinity Designs)
Ink - Versafine Black, Wild Honey Distress Ink
Paper - Divinity Designs Festive Fall Paper Pad, Kraft, Black, Cream
Accessories - Divinity Designs Dies: Slimline Card Base, Slimline Rounded Window, Butterfly Layering Combo, Vintage Labels 2; X-press It Foam Tape

I hope you love this month's release as much as well do and if you want even more eye candy, make sure you check out Divinity Designs Blog, FacebookPinterest and Instagram for even more inspiration! Thanks for visiting today and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

It's Your Day!

Hello Everyone!  After a rough year, I have finally got out my markers and pencils and coloured this big, beautiful bloom from Power Poppy!  It is so commanding of center stage that I really didn't have to do much else to make this shine!

I have a white base and cream layer.  The next layer started as a piece of white card which I then used a blender brush and some Bundled Sage, Brushed Corduroy and a touch of Peacock Feathers.  I've stamped the sentiment from Strong and Beautiful in Vintage Sepia ink in the corner.  Next I've die cut the 'bricks' using white card and Texture 4 Die by Paper Rose.  I've stamped the flower and leaves from Abundant Petals (FYI, this flower also comes in Digital - Big Flouncy Peony) in black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics and some pencil, fussy cut (because I masked this instead of using the matching die!  D'OH!) and then popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a few cream sequins.

Stamps - Abundant Petals, Strong and Beautiful (Power Poppy)
Ink - Memento Black, Versafine Vintage Sepia, Distress Inks: Bundled Sage, Brushed Corduroy, Peacock Feathers
Paper - X-press It Blending card, White, Cream
Accessories - Paper Rose Texture 4 Die, Cream Sequins, X-press It Foam Tape

Footsteps and a Suit!

Hello Everyone!!  Today I'm playing with the latest release by Divinity Designs!  For my first project I've made a milk carton using the Milk Carton with Layers Dies to cut the cream base and By The Shore paper layers.  I've used Curvy Slopes to cut another piece of By The Shore paper and attached to the bottom of the carton.  Next I stamped the footprints from Footsteps Stamp/Die Duo in Tea Dye ink and die cut with the matching die.  Next I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Vintage Sepia and die cut with Scalloped Ovals (brushing some Antique Linen ink on while still in the die) and pop up on X-press It Foam Tape.

Stamps - Footsteps (Divinity Designs)
Ink - Tea Dye and Versafine Vintage Sepia, Antique Linen
Paper - Divinity Designs By The Shore, Cream
Accessories -  Divinity Designs Dies: Milk Carton with Layers, Curvy Slopes, Scalloped Ovals; X-press It Foam Tape, Mini Peg

For my tropical themed card, I've used the A2 Portrait Card Base and Layer to cut the cream base, then added a panel of By The Shore paper, stamping the sentiment from Footsteps directly onto the patterned paper in Vintage Sepia.  I've stamped and die cut the footprints using Footsteps Stamp/Die Duo and also added some cream sequins.  Next I've die cut some Cool and Casual paper using Pierced Frames and then popped the frame up on X-press It Foam Tape.

For my final project today I have a Suit!  Well actually it's a card using the new Suit Jacket Die set!  This is great for men's cards or something more formal like a Graduation!  You'll need the card base dies using Couture Collection Dies - which I've used to cut white card.  Next I've used the Suit Jacket Die set to cut the Jacket, Buttons, Pocket Squares and Bow Tie.  Honestly, it's super easy, the hardest part is deciding what colour combo or paper you want to use!

Stamps - NONE
Ink - NONE
Paper - Black, White, Blue Card
Accessories - Divinity Designs Dies: Suit Jacket, Couture Collection

And last but not least........Bowties are Cool!!!

Did you pick up on my inspiration for this one??  It's Doctor Who!!  Specifically the 11th Doctor who had a penchant for bowties.....and fezzes as well.  :)

Once again I've usde Couture Collection Dies  for the base (I've used cream) and then another to cut the Menswear Material to create the shirt.  Next I've used the Suit Jacket Die set to cut the Jacket, Buttons, Pocket Squares and Bow Tie out of Kraft and Red. I've darkened the jacket buttons by spraying the card with E74 Copic and then die cutting them.  Whether you are inspired by any of the Doctor Who's, Agent 007 or even Willy Wonka's purple suit, you are bound to have a fab time creating these suit cards!

Happy 13th Ally!

Hello Everyone!  Today is my daughter Ally's 13th Birthday!!  My youngest child, my baby, is a teenager.  Where did that time go?  I've decided that a special birthday requires a special card and created a Twist and Pop card for her in pretty pinks and creams.

I've used the A2 Portrait Card Base and Layer die for the cream base.  I've used Beautiful Blooms paper and die cut with Pierced Frames dies for the front.  Now I admit, I was doing this late at night and had a chocolate layer underneath and meant to cut the middle piece again with the frames dies to have a small edge showing, but I glued the panel straight down.....sigh!  Across the card I've used Pennant Flags and Treat Tag Dies to cut the notched tags and glued into place.  I've created the circle panel using Fancy Circles, Circles and Pierced Circles.  I've die cut the numbers using Large Numbers and airbrushing with Copic RV95 while still in the die and then popped up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've added some clear rhinestones to the corners.

Next I made the fun inside!  I've used Matting Rectangle and the A2 Portrait Card Base and Layer die to cut the pink and cream layers.  I've die cut some more Beautiful Blooms paper using the edge of the Scalloped Rectangles Die to create the top and bottom panels.  I've used the Twist and Pop with Layers Dies to create the mechanism (under the pop out panel) and the accordion fold panel and layers.  I've die cut some cream card using Letter A, Letter L and Letter Y and airbrushed with Copic RV95 while still in the die and then glued as shown.  To finish I've added a few cream sequins.

Stamps - NONE
Ink - NONE
Paper - Divinity Designs Beautiful Blooms, Cream, Pink
Accessories - Divinity Designs Dies: A2 Portrait Card Base and Layer, Matting Rectangle, Twist and Pop with Layers, Pierced Frames, Pennant Flags, Treat Tags, Fancy Circles, Circles, Pierced Circles, Large Numbers, Scalloped Rectangles, Letter A, Letter L, Letter Y; X-press It Foam Tape, Glue

I've printed the image and sentiment from Take A Deep Breath on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I've die cut this with Pierced Rectangles and then added a little sparkle across the bottom with some Glitter Deco Tape.  The card base is made of purple card layered with white, some soft pretty paper and another layer of white punched with Threading Water border punch (rather apt I thought).

Stamps - Take A Deep Breath (Power Poppy)
Ink - Printer
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Wisteria Wonder, White, MFT Watercolor Wash DP

It's Back To School Time

Hello Everyone!  It's that time again - the very first day of the new school year here in Australia!  My daughter is in Grade 5 this year and had to have a notebook for her classes ---- so we decided to decorate it a little bit so it won't get confused with anyone elses!!  (I think we achieved the aim!) LOL!

For this project, we've taken a Spirax notebook, covered it with some green spotty paper from my stash and stuck it down with some X-press It High Tack Double Sided Tape.  Then I've adhered some schoolish type paper also from my stash and put that in the middle.  We've added a little shine with some Gold Foil Deco Tape top and bottom of the middle panel.  Next I've taken some X-press It Adhesive Sheets, peeled off one side and stuck it to some Blending Card and die cut it with a Spellbinders Alphabet for the name.  Then I peeled off the other side of the Adhesive sheet and covered the letters with Scarlet Microfine Glitter and glued the letters to the top of the notebook.  Finally I die cut the Apple and A+ using ODBD's A+ Apples Dies.
I surprised Ally with a little extra decorating inside using Power Poppy's Small But Mighty Affirmations - I thought this sentiment was perfect!

Stamps - Small But Mighty Affirmations (Power Poppy)
Ink - Rhubarb Stalk, Dandelion
Paper - Random paper from my stash
Accessories - X-press It: Adhesive Sheets, Scarlet Microfine Glitter, Foil Deco Tape, High Take Double Sided Tape, 2in1 Glue, Clear Gel Glue, Blending Card; ODBD A+ Apples Dies, Spellbinders Alphabet Die

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Hazel and Ruby Canvas Hop

Hello Everyone!!  Today the Copic Oz, Xpress It and Inspiration Lane designers have teamed up to have a fun and fabulous Blog Hop!  Each of us have been given various products to create a Hazel and Ruby canvas that represents us - I don't know about you, but I know I can't wait to see what everyone has created today!  Not only are there some really fun projects using some of our favourite products - the best part is that you have over ten opportunities to win!

So, what did I make???  I was sent a canvas, some Hazel and Ruby Stencil Masks and some Hazel and Ruby Washi Tape.

I found several scraps of paper and arranged them on the canvas, then added some X-press It Triple Tac to attach the paper to the canvas and then added another layer over the top.

Then I've added the Hazel and Ruby Stencil-Masks from Everyday Shapes and Brooklyn Alpha where I wanted them on the canvas.  I've also added pieces of Hazel and Ruby Washi Tape at various locations on the canvas.
Then I've toned down the paper by adding some Gesso.

I've used my Copic Airbrush System and a variety of Copic Markers to add colour in both blocks of colour and over stencils for a bit of interest.

Then I've added some texture paste through a stencil.

I've continued to add more colour and airbrushing as well as a little stamping around the edges.

Then I removed my masks - don't forget these are reuseable, so make sure you put them back on the Hazel and Ruby sheet for your next project!

And then I've added some outlining and glued some buttons and a piece of coloured corrugated cardboard using X-press It Power Tac.

Then I thought the flowers could use a little extra 'something', so I've added some dots of Molotow Paint Pen around them.

I thought I was done, but then decided the flowers needed a little picket fence to peek out from behind!

So how does this express me?  For a start, Blue is my favourite colour and I particularly love blue gingham.  Secondly I love daisies - in fact I had them for my wedding!  There are 3 flowers that represent my three beautiful kids and how I'm watching them grow, for now they are in primary school....next year my eldest is off to high school!  And lastly, I'm inspired every day by flowers, colours, shapes and textures to CREATE!

Now that I've told you a little about ME......we want to know what inspires you! Leave a comment on this post and you could win an fabulous bundle of goodies like this one. Make sure you hop over to the other blogs and the Inspiration Lane Facebook page where you could win even MORE prizes, valued at over $500!!

*The hop is open from 9am AEST July 9 until 11:59PM Monday July 14, 2014. Sorry, Australian and New Zealand residents only*

I nearly forgot.....do you want to see the prizes up for grabs????
