Navy, Pink & Cake

Good Morning!

Hope you are all well and not too cold.
It's currently -2 here in the middle of the UK!

Anyways, I'm here today to show you a card I've made for my cousin's birthday.
I am going to add her age but I couldn't remember how old she is! Ooops!
Turns out she's 13.....

So, here's the card:

The colour scheme and layout have come from the inspiration pic and layout on Fusion Card - Link is HERE
And the image is from Tiddly Inks. She is called "Cute as a Cupcake Girl" - Link is HERE
I can not remember the last time I used my Spectrum Noir pens but I did on this. I had forgotten how good they are!
The spotted and chrevon papers are a digital download from etsy.
Think I will die cut "13" out in pink and add it to lopsided spotty paper.

I'd like to enter this card in to the following challenges:

Thanks for popping by! :)

Monday Greetings DT - Anything Goes

Hello everyone!

I new challenge over at Monday Greetings on the OutLawz today - Link is HERE
Our new challenge is "Anything Goes!"

We are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments - Link to store is HERE
I got to use the super cute Jason and Eve - Link is HERE

I have used a little play on words with the greeting. I thought it was quite appropriate with the little boy and girl :)

Think I'm going through a chevron phase! Seem to be using a lot of this card at the mo. This time I went with a hint of yellow rather than blue tho. Infact, I think I'd already coloured the image in so that was pretty simple to make. I've used a grey and white spotty paper behind the image to tie in with this hair and trousers. Had to get some buttons in there too! And the play of words with the greeting made me chuckle.

Here's a few more pics
Hope to see you join in the challenge :)

My Time To Craft DT - Frame It!

Good Morning!

First post for me for a few weeks over at MTTC. With blogger/pc playing up and not being well, I didn't have a card for last weeks challenge but I'm back this week!

Over at My Time To Craft, we have the challenge of "Frame It!" and boy did I struggle with this!
I knew what I wanted to do but just couldn't get the end result, so I decided to try something else.

Here's what I got:

I do love these cute little lasses from Some Odd Girl. I think this one is called "Heartsy Mae".
I wanted a non-traditional looking lass hence the blue hair! LOL. I rarely use pink and blue together but it worked so it's all good. Mae is coloured by using Spectrum Noirs. And yano me, of course some twine snuck on my card! The frame is cut from the Spellbinders Nesties. I added some pearls and flowers to make the card a little more girly as I used my brick embossing panel for the background. Senitment is computer generated.

I do hope you can come play along. I'm off to hunt for ideas for Mother's Day cards.
I have 3 to do..... eeeek!

My Time To Craft DT - Easel Card

Good Morning!

It's that time of the week again for another challenge over at My Time To Craft. This week we have an awesome challenge,

"Easel Cards"

It's been a while since I made one of these but my days did I enjoy it! It's given me an idea for another one though.
Full Card

I'm still not convinced on her hair tho. For blonde, I think it's a bit bright?! I also wanted to step away from the norm as well and use some different colours. I always end up using the same colours and I have sooooooo much paper I can use. The image is a Saturated Canary digi image. I do love these images. I've used quite a few different embellishments too. Think I've gone a bit OTT. The butterflies have been punched out. I love the sentiment on this card too. Again was printed off the computer, "Style is knowing who you are, what you want, and not giving a damn"

Here's a few more pictures:

Off to have a look round a few blogs..

Oh so Gorjuss....

Afternoon Peeps!

Today is one of those days that I love to hate.. Lots of football to watch but it's miserable and I just can't get warm. Think I will sit by the radiator in a sec!

Anyways, I did have a little bit of creative moment earlier and came up with a card using a Gorjuss Girl. I do love these little girls. They are super cute. I've used green and pink for the colour scheme.
Do you find that you tend to use the same colours?

So, here is the Gorjuss Girl..

Full Card
She's been coloured using Spectrum Noirs and then cut out. The background that she's on it glittered but you can't really tell in picture. I added the gems to add a bit of black to tie all the colours in.

Here's a few more pics...

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges, plus a DT call:

1. Totally Gorjuss - Ribbon
2. Allsorts - Free & Easy
3. 2 Sisters - DT Call

Off to watch another football game...

My Time To Craft DT - Music or Movie Influenced

Morning Peeps!

Back to normal after all the festivites. I must admit, ours was nice and chilled out. No running around and stressing out. So with that, it's back into blogland with a new challenge over at My Time To Craft.

This weeks theme is

"Music or Movie Influenced"

I've had this digi from Kenny K for ages and never made a card using her, until now!

Full Card
Got to love a bit of Marilyn Monroe and I think it fits this perfectly. She has been coloured with Spectrum Noirs. I was going to put her on a filmset background but opted for the white with a splash of red, true Marilyn style. The sentiment reads " Dreaming about being an actress is more exciting than being one" I wonder how many can relate to that? Added a few pearls n flowers to finish off the card.

Here's a few more pictures:

Think I'm going to brave the elements and walk up to the craft shop.

Untraditional christmas colours....

Good Morning!

Rain here today. I'm on dinner duty so no going out which suits me! Plus, I'm well proud of myself....
Finally managed to get the last two christmas cards done!!

WAHAY!!

Anyways, on to the post and card I'm showcasing today.
Having such a big group of family and friends, sometimes, can be a pain the backside... I always run out of idea's! It's made worse by both my Mom & Dad and I sending double cards to my Auntie & Uncle and both cousins, so that's two completely different cards I make for them... Next year, I'm having ideas on a postcard! LOL!! First up, is Abigail's card off me using a Saturated Canary image in

I do love these little ladies.

Full Card

Naughty or Nice is about right for Abigail! This looks like her too. She has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens and cut out. That took a while as well! Snowflake embossed panel as per and of course a couple of snowflakes layered up with a ribbon and bow. I was going to put her name on it, but couldn't fit it on. Not even around the scallop circle.

Snowflakes
So, I'm entering my card into the follwoing:

1. Saturated Canary - Untraditional Christmas Colours
2. Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
3. Totally Papercrafts - Christmas using Non Traditional Colours

I'm off to prepare dinner. Catch you all later.

Traditional?

Afternoon peeps!

You know when you're just not sure about a card, like the placement of all the bits of paper and embellishments... I had this yesterday. Cut everything to size and die cut all the bits, got the ribbon ready with it's bow, went to stick it down... didn't like it. So chucked it all in the box n started again. Now, I'm hoping this falls under traditional colours as I don't seem to do traditional coloured cards?!

Anyhows, here is the masterpiece.. well...

Full Card
The only thing I kept the same was the layout! I've used a Some Odd Girl image and coloured her with Spectrum Noirs. I added a few highlights as well. Funny old pen that I used. I didn't think I had done it properly to start with then it just darker and darker lol. The snowflakes are die-cuts cut in half and stuck down behind the greeting. Some embossing and a load of pearls and gems and finished. #

Greeting & Detail
I'm entering this into the following challenges:

1. Fab 'n' Funky - Snowflakes
2. Cute Card Thursday - Christmas Catch Up!

White on White with a splash of Green...

Good Evening everyone..

It's gone very cold here all of a sudden and awfully foggy too. A good time to keep warm by crafting! Although, you can't currently see my desk! Ooops...

Anyhows, onto the post.
Today I've made a couple of cards using White on White with a Splash of Green.. I've done an A5 version and a 5x7" version. Will pop a pic in the post of both. So I'm going to enter the Love to Create challenge which is... yep.. you guessed it... White on White with a Splash of Green.
Without any further ramblings, here is my card...

Full Card
Usually, I emboss the top layer with a snowflake embossing folder, but I thought I'd leave it blank. I'm undecided whether I perfer it embossed or not. The winter scene is a die cut which has been layered up with a cvouple of punched snowflakes. Added a few pearls and bit of ribbon and done. It's a pretty quick card to make but effective.

Here's a closer pic of the winter scene,

Winter Scene & Greeting
Now here's the 5x7 version. I only used one layer of the winter scene on this one as I didn't want to cover up the backing paper.

5x7 Version

Still have two christmas cards left to do with no idea what to put on them!

JOY

My first christmas card of the year... WOW!
By the time end of November comes, I'm fed up with them, lol.

The image on this is super cute, it's from the Meoples range at C.C Designs.
So, a little less traditional with the colours as well, (I for one don't like pink!) but I know the intended recipient will love it.

Full Card
The "JOY" and the bobble hat have been cut from the backing paper and the blue card used for the matt and layering. Perfect for the Crafty Catz Challenge of Paper Piecing. A bit of twine plus a nice big double snowflake to finish it off.

Think I will be hunting for the "NOEL" Snowmen now... hmmmm... where did I put them?!

April Showers

These should be called May showers this year that's how late they are!

Anyways, as the saying goes "April Showers bring May Flowers..."
So here's my take on this saying:

Rainy days or Sunny rays

That's not the greatest picture to be honest.
The fence die I've had for ages and never really used it, until now. I need a grass die to go behind it though I think. The dotty embossing folder always comes in handy! Think that's my oldest piece of equipment. One of the first things I brought all those years ago. The sentiment, I made on the pc. It's hard thinking of sentiments to put on the front of cards rather than "happy birthday"

Image

Depth
The image is a Some Odd Girl. I genuinely LOVE these images. Something fit for every occasion.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:
1. Crafty Cardmakers
2. Oldie but A Goodie

Off to make a mess!

Shaped card

So, my blog has decided that it won't allow me to upload any pictures. How very rude of it. So, it seems to be working now and there will be a few posts for me..

First up, 1 challenge for "flower power" and 2 challenges for "shaped cards". I've used a bracket card but cut the straight edge. I don't like one edge being straight, what's that all about?!

Anyway, the card:

I have gone a bit OTT on the flowers! LOL The image is from Saturated Canary. I must admit, I didn't like these to start with but now I love them! Much prefer digi's to stamps as well.

Here's a few close ups:

Flowers

Sentiment
The 2 challenges I'm entering this card into are:

1. Charisma Cardz
2. Totally Papercrafts
3. One Stop Crafts - Flower Power

Off to write up a few more posts.

Cute as A Button

Hello everyone,

Feel like I've neglected my blog again...
First post up is for the challenge over at Addicted to Stamps, which is "Beautiful Button"

So I am sharing this creation with you. It's a digi image from All That Scraps by C.C Designs.
Also thought the sentiment was quite fitting too!

Without further ado, here is my creation:

Full Card
Wasn't sure of the colours to start with, but everyone loved it so I can't complain, lol.

I would load some more pics up, but it seems that my pc doesn't want to play! :(

Something New

Good Morning..  Hope you all had a great christmas & fab new year too.  We are finally back with a new challenge over at My Time ...
