Her name was Elói, not Heloísa
[modifier le code]I'm deeply sorry for writing in English, instead of French. I don't know how to write in French although I can read it. Her name was Elói, not Heloísa. This a common confusion because her birth certificate said "Heloísa" but her later baptism certificate gave her name as "Elói" which means that her parents changed it. --Lecen (d) 20 novembre 2011 à 02:54 (CET)
- Hi Lecen! The problem is that the only reference we have here (in French) says « Héloïse ». Moreover, in French, Eloi is a masculine name and never a feminine one. However, if you can give another reference, it isn't a problem to change it. Sincerely, Konstantinos (d) 21 novembre 2011 à 18:38 (CET)
- Hi, Konstantinos! Good to see you again. That's a quite persistent problem. It occurs because in her birth certificate her name was indeed "Heloísa" but her parents seems to have changed their mind and they changed for "Elói" as can be seen in her baptism certificate. This is why there are some historians (and even the Gotha) who use the birth outdated birth certificate. For sources, please chck the English version of this article. Regards (I hope I'll see you one day contributing on the English Wikipedia), --Lecen (d) 22 novembre 2011 à 02:35 (CET)

Konstantinos, I forgot to say something else. The name should be François (male) not Françoise (female) as it appears in this article on her full name. Regards, --Lecen (d) 2 décembre 2011 à 02:52 (CET)
