Battle[]
The Elite Security Officer is a sturdier, more powerful version of the Security Officer, and is equipped with a shotgun rather than a rapid-fire gun. When the player is too close, the Elite Security Officer approaches to deliver a melee combination attack that is difficult to interrupt and will flinch characters. With their Shotgun ability, they can shoot at either close or long range, dealing multiple hits in a spread that can interrupt characters. Much like the Security Officer, he uses the Grenade ability, which lets him throw a grenade nearby to damage party members. When low on health, the Elite Security Officer uses a Potion on himself.
Hard mode[]
On the hard difficulty, the Elite Security Officer will fight more aggressively, and will use the Grenade ability more often. He'll use a Hi-Potion instead of a Potion when low on health.
Much like the vast majority of human-type enemies, the Elite Security Officer is weak against Fire. Unlike the Security Officer, however, he can pose more of a threat with his superior damage output, melee attacks and the ability to self-heal.
Strategy[]
The melee combination attack will almost always be used once the player gets close enough. While the attack itself doesn't inflict significant damage, it is difficult to interrupt, which will leave his target briefly vulnerable. Blocking it will often leave the Elite Security Officer in a pressured state, where his stagger can be built better.
When the Elite Security Officer uses his shotgun, it is recommended to block. He'll always deliver three rounds before briefly stopping to reload, when he'll be vulnerable to retaliation.
The player can either attack consecutively from behind or get close enough and block (or counter, with Cloud's Punisher Mode) to bait the Elite Security Officer into using his melee attack, leaving him vulnerable afterwards.
Episode INTERmission[]
Yuffie can make use of her Fire Ninjutsu and Fiery Banishment. When Yuffie and Sonon are synergized, they can use Synergized Art of War and Synergized Windstorm to great effect.
