Confuses opponent
Description
Confu is an indirect magic spell in Final Fantasy VII. It is granted by the Mystify Materia at level one. It inflicts the Confusion status effect on a target, which causes them to randomly attack allies for its duration. Loco weed casts Confu on all enemies and has a higher chance of confusion that the spell.

Use[]
Confu can be used by characters with the Mystify Materia at level 1. It inflicts the Confusion status on a target, which forces them to randomly attack their allies. It has a 60% probability of working, but has a fairly high MP cost at 18.
Confu can be useful against enemies that rely on magical damage, making fights a lot easier, but its 60% chance of working is lower than similar status-inflicting spells, such as Toad. Its probability is also lower than the item Loco weed, which has an 80% chance of inflicting the same status, and does so on all enemies. Additionally, Black Cauldron, as well as Bad Breath from the Enemy Skill Materia, can also inflict the same status.
Confu can be cast by Scissors (Lower), as well as Helletic Hojo can use the spell, if both of his arms are alive.
