stænge n (singular definite stænget, plural indefinite stænger)

1. (dated) a layer of loose poles that are laid across a barn or similar structure

stænge (imperative stæng, infinitive at stænge, present tense stænger, past tense stængde, perfect tense har stænget)

1. (dated) to close or block off
2. (dated) to close off, shut something
3. (dated) to lock (in or out)

The past tense stængte is also possible, and another variation of the past participle can also be stængt.
