Hasn't German proper noun got gender? Adjectives take which gender?―219.173.119.31 12:45, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Some proper nouns do have genders. However most don't. The Netherlands do have one. It's always Die Niederlande. Germany doesn't. It's always Deutschland.
- Duden for example explicitly states "nur mit Artikel" and "Plural" - always with an article and plural - for the Netherlands. Fido 13:31, 13 Dec 2004 (UTC)
