[edit]Borrowed from Piedmontese langa (“hill”), of uncertain origin; possibly related to the Iberian settlement Langobriga in present-day Portugal, and Lamboglia derives both from the non-Indo-European substrate (possibly Iberian) base *lanka (“depression, valley”), later "hilly area."[1]
