In the proposed Reformed Sorani Kurdish alphabet, ﮞ is used to denote the bizrokah, the Kurdish short "i," which is usually left out in the standard Sorani Kurdish alphabet.
In some fontfaces, the initial and medial forms take the shape of a standard ن(n, “nun”), combined with a small ghunnah mark; for other fonts, the standard nun and ◌٘(ghunnah mark) are typed separately to indicate initial and medial nasalisation.
