[edit]The plural of this term is шит (šit) not *шихть (*šihť)[2] as could be expected from words like тонафни, -хть (tonafńi , -hť, “student, -s”), Golenkov notes that monosyllables ending in -и inflect differently from и-stems longer than 1 syllable.[3]
