I am a somewhat prolific essayist myself, both in project and user namespace.

But there are some that seem to be cited as if they were guidelines or even policies.

• WP:RUS came up here
• Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Style guide/Layout (Aircraft) came up here
  • Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Aircraft accidents and incidents came up in the same discussion
